    This vector tile layer presents the World Topographic Map (with Contours and Hillshade) style (World Edition) and provides a basemap for the world, symbolized with a classic Esri topographic map style, including both vector contour lines and vector hillshade. This layer includes highways, major roads, minor roads, railways, water features, cities, parks, landmarks, building footprints, and administrative boundaries. This vector tile layer provides unique capabilities for customization and high-resolution display.This is a multisource vector map style. The root.json style file calls three vector tile services to display all the data in the map. The "esri" source contains all the basemap tiles for this layer. The other two sources are "contours" and "hillshade". Click the View style button on right to see the json.     Important Note: This item is in mature support as of June 2021 and is no longer updated.

    This map presents land cover and detailed topographic maps for the United States. It uses the USA Topographic Map service. The map includes the National Park Service (NPS) Natural Earth physical map at 1.24km per pixel for the world at small scales, i-cubed eTOPO 1:250,000-scale maps for the contiguous United States at medium scales, and National Geographic TOPO! 1:100,000 and 1:24,000-scale maps (1:250,000 and 1:63,000 in Alaska) for the United States at large scales. The TOPO! maps are seamless, scanned images of United States Geological Survey (USGS) paper topographic maps.

    The maps provide a very useful basemap for a variety of applications, particularly in rural areas where the topographic maps provide unique detail and features from other basemaps.

    Purpose: Topographic mapping, resource inventory mapping, regional land use mapping.Notes: Index contours (indefinite-depression and combination) and intermediate contour (indefinite-depression and combination), areas of exclusion and Indefinite contours and cliffs. The TRIM program produces digital maps, which is a collection of coverages to conform with the BC Geographic System layout. TRIM mapping consists of 7,027 mapsheets covering the province of British Columbia at a scale of 1:20, 000.WMS GetCapabilities URL: DataBC also offers access to this data in OGC WMS format. WMS is useful when the map author does not require custom popups, styling, or analytic capabilities for the layer.     The two versions of the printed Topographic Map Index are: -the 1:100 000 / 1:250 000 Topographic Map Index -the 1:50 000 Topographic Map Index

    Topographic map indexes are also available as digital data. Maps are listed by name on the back of the index. The 1:50 000 Index also lists availability of Orthophoto Map (OPM) and Topographic Line Map (TLM) for available 1:50 000 maps.

    Both indexes are available in printed form FREE from your nearest topographic map retailer or from the Geoscience Australia Sales Centre. You can also download PDFs of each index.

    Note: To print these PDFs at 100% requires an A0 printer. They are best for viewing on-screen. For new maps which may have been released after these indexes were published, please refer to the new releases page or use the Product Search tool.

    Source: https://carto.nationalmap.gov/arcgis/rest/services/contours/MapServerThe USGS Elevation Contours service from The National Map displays contours generated for the United States at various scales. Small-scale contours were created by USGS TNM from 1 arc-second data with 100-meter contours, and are visible at 1:600,000 and smaller scales. Medium-scale contours were created by USGS EROS from 1/3-arc-second data with 100-foot intervals, and are visible between 1:150,000 and 1:600,000. Additional medium-scale contours were created by USGS EROS from 1/3-arc-second data with 50-foot intervals, and are visible between 1:50,000 and 1:150,000. Large scale contours are updated every quarter, and are created by USGS TNM for the 7.5' 1:24,000-scale US Topo digital map series. These contours are derived from 1/3 arc-second or better resolution data, and are visible at scales 1:50,000 and larger. Large scale contour intervals are variable across the United States depending on complexity of topography, and as contours are generated per US Topo quadrangle, lines may not match across quad boundaries. The National Map download client allows free downloads of public domain contour data in either Esri File Geodatabase or Shapefile formats. The 3D Elevation Program (3DEP) provides elevation data for The National Map and basic elevation information for earth science studies and mapping applications. Scientists and resource managers use elevation data for global change research, hydrologic modeling, resource monitoring, mapping and visualization, and many other applications.     Description

    This data set represents smoothed, 2-foot bare earth contours (isolines) for the Lower Androscoggin (01040002) HUC 8 unit. It was derived from a data set which was compiled from LIDAR collections in NH available as of spring, 2019. The raster was filtered using the ArcGIS FOCAL STATISTICS tool with a 3x3 circular neighborhood. The contours were generated using the ArcGIS CONTOUR tool while applying a Z factor of 3.2808 to convert the elevation values from meters to feet. The filtered contours were then smoothed using the ArcGIS SMOOTH LINE tool. The data include an INDEX field with values of 10 and 100 to flag 10 and 100-foot contours. When viewed using this service, contours become visible at scales greater than 1:10,000.

    Description

    Digital line graph (DLG) data are digital representations of cartographic information. DLG's of map features are converted to digital form from maps and related sources. Intermediate-scale DLG data are derived from USGS 1:100,000-scale 30- by 60-minute quadrangle maps. If these maps are not available, Bureau of Land Management planimetric maps at a scale of 1: 100,000 are used. Intermediate-scale DLG's are sold in five categories: (1) Public Land Survey System; (2) boundaries (3) transportation; (4) hydrography; and (5) hypsography. All DLG data distributed by the USGS are DLG - Level 3 (DLG-3), which means the data contain a full range of attribute codes, have full topological structuring, and have passed certain quality-control checks.

This vector tile layer presents the World Topographic Map (with Contours and Hillshade) style (World Edition) and provides a basemap for the world, symbolized with a classic Esri topographic map style, including both vector contour lines and vector hillshade. This layer includes highways, major roads, minor roads, railways, water features, cities, parks, landmarks, building footprints, and administrative boundaries. This vector tile layer provides unique capabilities for customization and high-resolution display.This is a multisource vector map style. The root.json style file calls three vector tile services to display all the data in the map. The "esri" source contains all the basemap tiles for this layer. The other two sources are "contours" and "hillshade". Click the View style button on right to see the json.
