    Description

This service contains all topographic maps of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. From the NRW Overview and the DNRW250 to the topographic maps TK100, TK50, DTK25, DTK10 and ALKIS, all these maps are combined in one layer in this service. The preset scale ranges ensure that the ideal map is presented on every scale. This service was built according to the GDI-DE and AdV profile for WMS services and can be combined with the services of neighbouring countries. Possibilities of use: The WMS service connects all topographic maps of North Rhine-Westphalia in one service. Thus, the service is the ideal background for specialist applications from all areas when it comes to always providing the appropriate topographic map as background information via a large scale range. The grayscale variant is particularly suitable for this task, because colored technical data can be easily distinguished from the grayscale background information. The scale range 1:50000 is shown in black and white. This service contains all topographic maps of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. Description

The State Office for Mining Energy and Geology (LBEG) publishes in scale 1: 50 000 and 1: 25,000 maps of geohazards in Lower Saxony. These hazard warning maps currently show the natural hazards subrosion and mass movement by individual objects (earthfall, mass movement) or the delimitation of endangered areas (earthfall hazard area, salt dome elevation). Mass movements are geomorphological processes in which rock or loose stone move downhill under the influence of gravity in periods of seconds to years. Natural causes such as an unfavorable inclination of geological layers or weathering of rocky areas favor the formation of mass movements. Ultimately, a mass movement can be triggered by both natural (precipitation, etc.) and anthropogenic (construction measures, traffic, etc.) influences. Mass movements cause serious damage to buildings, roads, railways or waterways due to spillage with rock or loose rock and deep-reaching terrain fractures. As overarching movement processes of mass movements, slip, fall and flow processes are distinguished. The motion mechanisms tilting and drifting are not further differentiated and are assigned to one of the higher-level processes. Rutschungsprozesse sind hangabwärts gerichtete, gleitende Bewegungen von Fest- und/oder Lockergestein an diskreten Gleitflächen. During movement, the slip material on the sliding surface largely maintains contact with the solid surface. Slides are classified by the shape of the sliding surface, so that a distinction must be made between translational and rotational slides or a combined sliding surface shape. Bei einem Sturzprozess wie beispielsweise einem Steinschlag oder einem Felssturz, verlieren die stürzenden Massen zeitweilig den Kontakt zum festen Untergrund. Rocks or rock masses fall, jump or roll downhill following gravity. Falling processes are classified according to the volume of rock material that has fallen. Fließprozesse wie beispielsweise Erd-/Schutt-/Blockströme, Muren sowie Kriechbewegungen aller Art haben keine definierten Gleitflächen. In contrast to the slipping process, the water content of the flowing masses is usually significantly increased. The movement is comparable to a highly viscous liquid. Flow processes are classified according to their speed of movement. The map of geohazards in Lower Saxony – mass movements – with a representation of the individual objects – is based on an event register based on information from topographical, geological and engineering geological maps, expert reports and literature. In one case, a high-resolution, digital terrain model from laser scanning images (LIDAR) could be evaluated. The hazard warning map for mass movements is geared to the needs of spatial planning, not parcel-focused and does not replace any object-related geotechnical investigation. The map presentation documents the current state of knowledge in the LBEG, but cannot guarantee the completeness of the phenomena. It serves ministries, specialist authorities, district and local governments as well as business enterprises and citizens as the first basis for risk assessment with the aim of preventing or minimising damage through forward-looking planning. Areas directly adjacent to the designated areas may also be affected. Intensity and probability of a possible event cannot be derived from the map. Local conditions (e.g. protective measures, renovations, topographic features) must be taken into account in further investigations.
