TwitterThe Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Roadways feature layer shows MPO affiliation as derived from event mapping Feature 124, characteristic MPOAREA from the FDOT Roadway Characteristics Inventory data. MPOs are federally mandated transportation planning organizations (TPO) comprised of representatives from local governments and transportation authorities. The MPO's role is to develop and maintain the required transportation plans for a metropolitan area boundary to ensure that federal funds support local priorities. Code 00-None is coded only for counties having partial coverage by an MPO. For counties without an MPO, no code is required. For more information on MPOs, see the MPO Program Management Handbook: http://www.fdot.gov/planning/Policy/metrosupport/Resources/FDOT%20MPO%20Handbook.pdf This dataset is maintained by the Transportation Data & Analytics office (TDA). TwitterThe real_time_current data shows the most recent avalable real-time traffic volumes and observed travel speeds on a selected set of roadways in the state. While the real_time feature class shows a collection of the most recent 2 days worth of polling data, this datset shows only the most recent polling data for each site. Keep in mind that if a site is malfunctioning its time stamp might be different than those for sites that are fully operational. Real-time polling is activated for a hurricane or other emergencies in Florida. This dataset is maintained by the Transportation Data & Analytics office (TDA). TwitterThe real_time data shows the collection of real-time traffic volumes and observed travel speeds on a selected set of roadways in the state. The real_time data is the most recent two days (maximum) of traffic volumes and traffic speeds collected from the time traffic monitors are activated and shown in the most recent 2-day intervals until the activated monitors are turned off. Therefore a single station on the map will have a number of records tied to it showing the traffic volume and speed changes for that roadway section over a two day interval. Real-time polling is activated for a hurricane or other emergencies in Florida. This dataset is maintained by the Transportation Data & Analytics office (TDA). TwitterThe National Network (NN) supports interstate commerce by regulating the size of trucks. The National Network is the composite of the individual network of highways from each State on which vehicles authorized by the provisions of the Surface Transportation Assistance Act (STAA) of 1982 are allowed to operate. The federally-designated routes on the National Network consist of the Interstate System and additional highways identified under appendix a to part 658 of 23 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR): https://www.law.cornell.edu/cfr/text/23/appendix-A_to_part_658. TwitterThe FDOT GIS Roads with Median Types feature class provides spatial information on Florida Median Types distinguishing between lawn, paved, painted, and curbed medians. It also notes where a fence, guardrail, or barrier wall divides the two sides of a divided road. A median is defined as a barrier or other physical separation between two lanes of traffic traveling in opposite directions, which can either be raised, painted, or paved. This information is required for all functionally classified roadways On or Off the SHS. This dataset is maintained by the Transportation Data & Analytics office (TDA). The source spatial data for this hosted feature layer was created on: 11/01/2025.For more details please review the FDOT RCI Handbook Download Data: Enter Guest as Username to download the source shapefile from here: https://ftp.fdot.gov/file/d/FTP/FDOT/co/planning/transtat/gis/shapefiles/median_type.zip

TwitterThe FDOT GIS Access Management Roadways feature class provides spatial information on Florida Access Management Classification, as well attribute information compatible with the Roadway Characteristics Inventory (RCI) database. This classification reflects the desired access management standards to be followed in each classification. These are standards for restrictive medians, median opening separation, and driveway separation. The ranges are from 00-07 and 99. Code 01 is the highest amount of access management control (freeways) and code 07 is the lowest. Code 07 is usually found on suburban built-out corridors. A representative from each district will gather, update, and input this data into RCI as needed. For further reference, please read FAC Rule 14-97 Access Management Classification System and Standards. This can be obtained from the District Systems Planning Office. TwitterThe FDOT GIS Highway Performance Monitoring System Roadways feature class provides spatial information on features used for the sample portion of the annual HPMS submittal to the Federal Highway Administration. The HPMSIDNO denotes the 12-digit number uniquely identifying the sample section. This number cannot be changed once assigned. Even if a roadway section that contains a sample is renumbered, the HPMS ID number will remain the same. Since when created, the HPMS ID uses the first eight digits of the roadway ID, the two numbers will no longer share those eight digits in common. TwitterCollecty dataset is a dataset for multimodal transport analytics from mobile devices collected by users as they move through the transportation network. Each sample in dataset is labelled with a corresponding transport mode. Eight transport modes are present in the dataset: Car, Bus, Walking, Bicycle, Train, Tram, Running and Electric Scooter. During data collection, data from the accelerometer, magnetometer, and gyroscope sensors mounted within the mobile device were stored.
