As detailed in the last statistical release and on our consultation pages in March 2013, the responsibility for reporting Official Statistics on adult sport participation now falls entirely with Sport England. Sport participation data are reported on by Sport England in the Active People Survey.

OSR sets the standards of trustworthiness, quality and value in the https://code.statisticsauthority.gov.uk/the-code/">Code of Practice for Statistics that all producers of official statistics should adhere to.
These statistics were independently reviewed by the OSR in June 2017. Since this review by the OSR, we have continued to comply with the Code of Practice for Statistics.
