Delineates area participating in the Unincorporated Area Council. Unincorporated Area Councils are formed where King County citizens want to have a high level of participation in their municipal government. Comes from parcels and city boundaries.

Boundaries of the seven King County Unincorporated Community Service Areas (CSA). The CSAs are broken out in two ways. In West King County Areas the largest potential annexation areas (PAAs) are indicated by name in the CSA_SUBAREA_NAME field while all other PAAs have a value of "Other PAAs." For the remaining six CSAs the CSA_SUBAREA_NAME is "None" for unincorporated areas and the name of the relevant city for incorporated areas. For analysis purposes, selecting the features where Unincorporated = 1 will provide only the features within the municipal jurisdiction of King County.

Shows unincorporated (outside city) areas with an urban designation under the King County comprehensive plan (KCCP). Including: Designated City PAAs (areas planned to be annexed to a city in the future); City in Rural Area UGAs (similar but associated with the six cities in the rural area designated in the KCCP); Urban Planned Development (UPD, Redmond Ridge); and other misc. categories.

The Multicounty and Countywide Planning Policies guide the development of urban centers, which are principally located in cities, and should accommodate concentrations of housing and employment. Focusinggrowth into centers helps achieve the goals of a sustainable and equitable community. However, in its unincorporated urban area, King County has a small number of smaller-scale urban centers, which includes an unincorporated activity center, community business centers and neighborhood business centers.

Routes in unincorporated King County that are part of the King County anti-ice operations as well as cities that contract King County Roads for their anti-ice operations.

The 48 Health Reporting Areas (HRAs) are aggregates of Census 2010 blocks created to facilitate the analysis and presentation of sub-county health statistics. Where possible, HRAs are defined as neighborhoods within large cities, smaller cities, unincorporated areas in King County, or a combination of these geographies, with a Census 2010 population over 30,000.

A nightly process places the events on roadsegment_route feature class to be exported to a feature class in the RoadsGIS geodatabase.
