Between January and March 2025, there were 9.5 million visits to DCMS sponsored museums and galleries. Overall visits were 7% lower than the equivalent period last year (when comparing museums open in both time periods). Overall visits were 17% lower than the equivalent period pre-pandemic in 2019 (when comparing museums open in both time periods).
Between 2021 and the end of the 2023/24 financial year, museum visitor numbers were increasing following the closure of museums and galleries during the pandemic. The growth in museum visitor numbers has slowed over the last year, and the total museum visitor numbers are yet to reach pre-pandemic levels. In June 2025, London-based Flo was the highest-grossing mobile period tracking app worldwide, with approximately 12.3 million U.S. dollars in-app revenues during the examined month. The Stockholm-based Natural Cycles ranked second, with approximately 1.27 million U.S. dollars in revenues. The German Clue Period Tracker app ranked third with around one million U.S. dollars in revenues. The Japanese RunaRuna app generated approximately 436,000 U.S. dollars of in-app revenues from global users in the most recently measured period.
In June 2025, London-based Flo was the most downloaded mobile period tracking app worldwide, with almost 5.2 million downloads during the examined month. The Period Tracker Period Calendar, published by Simple Design Ltd, ranked second with approximately 1.65 million downloads during the measured period. The Chinese developed app Meiyou ranked third, with 942,000 downloads from global users in the last examined month.
