Based on revenue, the United States-based company Sherwin-Williams was the leading paints and coatings company worldwide in 2024, with a revenue of 23.3 billion U.S. dollars. Another U.S. company, PPG Industries, was second in this ranking, with 18.25 billion U.S. dollars of revenue that year. Overall, five of the ten leading global paint and coatings companies based on revenue were based in the U.S. at that time.
