Since 2017, the value of property sales to foreign buyers dramatically decreased to pre-2010 values. The dramatic decline in 2021 was due to the economic effect of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic both in the U.S. and globally. By March 2024, property sales to foreign buyers in the United States amounted to ** billion U.S. dollars, the lowest recorded since 2010.
