    In 1870, the GDP of the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand was eight times larger than in 1820, and by 1913 it was almost 42 times larger. Although Europe had the largest share of global GDP in 1913, it had only grown by 5.4 times since 1820. GDP in the Asia-Pacific region did not double over this period, as it was not until the latter half of the twentieth century when industrialization began on a large scale.

    Measurement technique
    The data presented in this dataset is derived from the latest U.S. Census Bureau American Community Survey (ACS) 2017-2021 5-Year Estimates. To measure the two variables, namely (a) population and (b) population as a percentage of the total population, we initially analyzed and categorized the data for each of the age groups. For age groups we divided it into roughly a 5 year bucket for ages between 0 and 85. For over 85, we aggregated data into a single group for all ages.     About this dataset

    Context

    The dataset tabulates the Economy population distribution across 18 age groups. It lists the population in each age group along with the percentage population relative of the total population for Economy. The dataset can be utilized to understand the population distribution of Economy by age. For example, using this dataset, we can identify the largest age group in Economy.

    Key observations

    The largest age group in Economy, PA was for the group of age 60-64 years with a population of 883 (9.75%), according to the 2021 American Community Survey.     About this dataset

    Context

    The dataset tabulates the data for the Economy, PA population pyramid, which represents the Economy population distribution across age and gender, using estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau American Community Survey 5-Year estimates. It lists the male and female population for each age group, along with the total population for those age groups. Higher numbers at the bottom of the table suggest population growth, whereas higher numbers at the top indicate declining birth rates.     In 2024, the gross domestic product (GDP) per capita at current prices in Vietnam amounted to around 4,536 U.S. dollars. GDP is the total value of all goods and services produced in a country in a year. It is considered to be a very important indicator of the economic strength of a country and a positive change is an indicator of economic growth. Vietnam’s economy In the last decade, the Vietnamese economy has experienced consistent economic growth with a six to seven percent increase in GDP from year to year. The country’s economy is fueled by its exports of natural resources and agricultural products, though since 2008 its information technology hardware exports have risen substantially. Vietnam’s agriculture and service sectors generate over 56 percent of Vietnam’s gross domestic product. Vietnam’s population The majority of Vietnam’s population works in the agriculture or service industries, and the country has one of the world’s lowest unemployment rates at just 1.8 percent in 2018. The population is relatively young, with the median age expected to reach 32.5 years by 2020. The median age has increased significantly from its low point of 18.2 years in 1970, around the time Vietnam was being devastated by war. Since then, the country’s population has increased as well, reaching over 94 million people in 2018.

    Measurement technique
    The data presented in this dataset is derived from the latest U.S. Census Bureau American Community Survey (ACS) 2017-2021 5-Year Estimates. To measure the three variables, namely (a) Population (Male), (b) Population (Female), and (c) Gender Ratio (Males per 100 Females), we initially analyzed and categorized the data for each of the gender classifications (biological sex) reported by the US Census Bureau across 18 age groups, ranging from under 5 years to 85 years and above.     About this dataset

    Context

    The dataset tabulates the population of Economy by gender across 18 age groups. It lists the male and female population in each age group along with the gender ratio for Economy. The dataset can be utilized to understand the population distribution of Economy by gender and age. For example, using this dataset, we can identify the largest age group for both Men and Women in Economy. Additionally, it can be used to see how the gender ratio changes from birth to senior most age group and male to female ratio across each age group for Economy.

Description

In 1870, the GDP of the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand was eight times larger than in 1820, and by 1913 it was almost 42 times larger. Although Europe had the largest share of global GDP in 1913, it had only grown by 5.4 times since 1820. GDP in the Asia-Pacific region did not double over this period, as it was not until the latter half of the twentieth century when industrialization began on a large scale.
