Global lead industry figures In 2024, China was the leading producer of lead worldwide, despite having the second-largest lead reserves in the world. That year, China produced an estimated 1.9 million metric tons of lead. The market price of lead in North America has fluctuated slightly in recent years: in 2015 the price was 91.2 U.S. cents per pound, while the 2023 price stood at an estimated 115 U.S. cents per pound. Lead and its uses Lead is a naturally occurring element that is soft and malleable. It is a post-transition metal that is very dense and is easily tarnished to a dull grey color. Lead’s use by humans dates back to 7000-6500 BCE, first found in modern day Anatolia. Ancient Egyptians first used it in cosmetics, and as well as likely having used the metal in glasses, enamels, and as weights for fishing nets. In recent decades, however the use of lead has decreased due to health concerns. Prolonged exposure to lead can cause negative health effects. Regardless of these negative health effects, it is still seen as a valuable commodity. It remains commonly used in car batteries, pigments, lifting weights, and ammunition. The total global consumption of refined lead in 2023 amounted to approximately 13.1 million metric tons.

    Description

The statistic shows global gross domestic product (GDP) from 1985 to 2024, with projections up until 2030. In 2020, global GDP amounted to about 85.76 trillion U.S. dollars, two and a half trillion lower than in 2019. Gross domestic product Gross domestic product, also known as GDP, is the accumulated value of all finished goods and services produced in a country, often measured annually. GDP is significant in determining the economic health, growth and productivity in the country, and is a stat often used when comparing several countries at a time, most likely in order to determine which country has seen the most progress. Until 2020, Global GDP had experienced a growth every year since 2010. However, a strong growth rate does not necessarily lead to all positive outcomes and often has a negative effect on inflation rates. A severe growth in GDP leads to lower unemployment, however lower unemployment often leads to higher inflation rates due to demand increasing at a much higher rate than supply and as a result prices rise accordingly. In terms of unemployment, growth had been fairly stagnant since the economic downturn of 2007-2009, but it remains to be seen what the total impact of the coronavirus pandemic will be on total employment.

    Lead generation tactics and effectiveness

Lead generation is a marketing method centered on attracting prospective customers in order to build mailing lists and/or provide sales leads. Typically done via telemarketing and trade shows in the past, today lead generation is often performed through digital channels. Interestingly, a smaller share of global marketers see the leads obtained from marketing as high quality, preferring those gained via referrals.

With lead generation and conversion being a priority among marketing professionals, the industry explores digital avenues to reach their targets. Social media is highly valued in this regard. Close to three quarters of surveyed global marketers claimed that using social media in their promotional activities resulted in lead generation. While events are still considered reasonably effective in generating new leads, case studies and video are also seen as very successful methods.

The data is categorized under Global Database’s USA – Table US.World Bank: Trade Statistics. Border compliance captures the time and cost associated with compliance with the economy’s customs regulations and with regulations relating to other inspections that are mandatory in order for the shipment to cross the economy’s border, as well as the time and cost for handling that takes place at its port or border. The time and cost for this segment include time and cost for customs clearance and inspection procedures conducted by other government agencies.; ; World Bank, Doing Business project (http://www.doingbusiness.org/).; Unweighted average; Time is measured in hours, and 1 day is 24 hours (for example, 22 days are recorded as 22 × 24 = 528 hours). If customs clearance takes 7.5 hours, the data are recorded as is. Alternatively, suppose that documents are submitted to a customs agency at 8:00 a.m., are processed overnight and can be picked up at 8:00 a.m. the next day. In this case the time for customs clearance would be recorded as 24 hours because the actual procedure took 24 hours. Data are presented for the survey year instead of publication year.

    Description

The statistic shows the gross domestic product (GDP) per capita in the United States from 1987 to 2024, with projections up until 2030. In 2024, the gross domestic product per capita in the United States amounted to around 85,812.18 U.S. dollars. Thus, the United States is one of the countries with the largest GDP per capita worldwide. See the U.S. GDP growth rate here and the US GDP for further information. For comparison, per capita GDP in China had reached about 5,553 U.S. dollars in 2011. Gross domestic product of the United States The gross domestic product (GDP) of a country is an economic key figure, as it represents the market value of goods and services produced in a country within one year. The United States’ GDP) is increasing consistently, and it is expected to continue growing. On a global scale, the U.S. share of GDP adjusted for Purchasing Power Parity has been in the range of 20 percent over the last few years, give or take a few percentage points. The United States has the largest GDP worldwide, with a significant lead over China, Japan and Germany. Gross domestic product per capita is annual GDP divided by the average population from the same year, which allows for a GDP calculation per inhabitant of a country. Thus, a country with a high GDP, like the United States, can still have a low GDP per capita. Consequently, if compared to other countries, the United States does not rank among the top ten on this list .
