Princeton University remains No. 1 in the Best National Universities category. For the 14th consecutive year, Williams College takes the top spot on the Best National Liberal Arts Colleges list.

The average six-year graduation rate is 95 percent for the top 10 National Universities and 93.9 percent for the top 10 National Liberal Arts Colleges. The average freshman retention rate is 98.1 percent for the top 10 National Universities and 96.6 percent for the top 10 National Liberal Arts Colleges. For comparison, the average six-year graduation rate among all numerically ranked schools on the National Universities list is 71.3 percent, and the average freshman retention rate is 86.9 percent. For comparison, the average six-year graduation rate among all numerically ranked schools on the National Liberal Arts Colleges list is 75.2 percent, and the average freshman retention rate is 85.6 percent.

Context

This dataset contains the US News rankings of the best American universities of undergraduate programs. This is how US News ranks the colleges: "We calculated 10 distinct overall rankings where colleges and universities were grouped by their academic missions. For each ranking, the sum of weighted, normalized values across 17 indicators of academic quality determine each school's overall score and, by extension, its overall rank. The top performer(s) in each ranking displays an overall score of 100. Others' overall scores are on a 0-99 scale reflecting the distance from their ranking's top-performing school(s). Those placing outside the top 75% display their ranking's bottom quartile range (e.g., No. 90-120) instead of their individual ranks (e.g., No. 102)."

This dataset contains the rankings of 392 American universities based on their undergraduate programs. It also contains the tuitions and enrollment numbers of each university. 2 colleges don't have tuition data, so it is labelled -1.

In April 2025, the news website with the most monthly visits in the United States was nytimes.com, with a total of ***** million monthly visits in that month. In second place was cnn.com with just over *** million visits, followed by foxnews.com with almost a ****** of a million. Online news consumption in the U.S. Americans get their news in a variety of ways, but social media is an increasingly popular option. A survey on social media news consumption revealed that ** percent of Twitter users regularly used the site for news, and Facebook and Reddit were also popular for news among their users. Interestingly though, social media is the least trusted news sources in the United States. News and trust Trust in news sources has become increasingly important to the American news consumer amidst the spread of fake news, and the public are more vocal about whether or not they have faith in a source to report news correctly. Ongoing discussions about the credibility, accuracy and bias of news networks, anchors, TV show hosts, and news media professionals mean that those looking to keep up to date tend to be more cautious than ever before. In general, news audiences are skeptical. In 2020, just **** percent of respondents to a survey investigating the perceived objectivity of the mass media reported having a great deal of trust in the media to report news fully, accurately, and fairly.

In December 2024, Sweden occupied the 27th position in the FIFA Men’s World Ranking, falling one spot compared to the same month of the previous year. The Swedish national football team reached its best performance between 1992 and 1994, ranking among the top 10 teams worldwide. In that latter year, Sweden won the play-off for the third position at the FIFA World Cup. Meanwhile, the Swedish female soccer team has maintained its place among the world’s top 10 for more than 15 years. Top Swedish footballers Having defeated his opponent’s gate over 60 times, Zlatan Ibrahimović has become Sweden’s top goal scorer, outranking Sven Rydell, who held the record for more than eight decades. Ibrahimović is currently signed by AC Milan, while Rydell was part of the Örgryte IS for most of his career, which ended in the early 1930s. In terms of market value, Anthony Elanga sat at the top of the Swedish ranking of players as of November 2022.    Sweden’s performance in the past UEFA European Championship After being postponed by one year due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the 16th edition of the UEFA European Championships (EURO) — the top national soccer teams’ championship in Europe — took place in the summer of 2021. In the group rounds, the Swedish squad finished in the top position of its group with seven points in total. However, its participation in the tournament ended in the round of 16, losing one to two against Ukraine. In that edition of the UEFA EURO, Sweden only managed to score five goals, thus placing in the lower positions of the ranking by number of goals scored.

This dataset contains some data to try to answer the question, "What's the best city to live and work in as a Data Scientist?" I include data from the U.S. News & World Report Best Places to Live and Best States Rankings; city scores from Nomad List; rent indices from Zillow; and the number of jobs openings on Indeed.com. All data is publicly available online and manually compiled by myself.

About Nomad Scores

Nomad List publishes scores for each city that update in real time every 10 mins. These scores are affected by the current weather in each city. Therefore, the scores vary quite a bit seasonally as well as during the day. Learn more here. I've sampled the scores at different times of year and different times of day. Timestamps are in ISO 8601 format. Nomad Scores are not available for all metros in the dataset.

FIFA updates its ranking of national soccer teams several times each year, using real-life results to determine where each country places worldwide. As of July 2025, Argentina led the men's rankings, having won the World Cup in 2022. Brazil was in fifth place, while France ranked third. Meanwhile, the highest-ranked country in women's soccer, the United States, ranked 15th. Which country has won the most World Cups? Following the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Brazil remained the country with the most men’s World Cup titles, with a total of five. However, the Seleção’s last success came in 2002, and the team has mostly failed to progress past the quarter-final stage in recent tournaments. Meanwhile, two countries have won four World Cups: Germany and Italy. While Germany last won the competition in 2014, Italy failed to even qualify in 2018 and 2022. However, the Azzurri have had success in other areas, winning a second UEFA European Championship title in 2021. Who are the best soccer players worldwide? While past debates have largely focused on Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, a number of younger players have taken the sport by storm in recent years. Erling Haaland, one of the most valuable soccer players in the world, has impressed many since joining Manchester City. In his first season at the club, Haaland broke the record for the most goals scored in a single Premier League season, with 36. Meanwhile, Haaland’s former teammate Jude Bellingham made an immediate impact at Real Madrid, scoring 10 goals in his first 10 games.

Overview

This dataset compiles a decade (2016–2025) of official National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) data, published by the Government of India (Ministry of Education). It includes rankings across all major categories such as Engineering, Management, Universities, Colleges, Medical, Law, Architecture, and Overall.

All data has been web scraped directly from the official NIRF India website (https://www.nirfindia.org ) to maintain accuracy and consistency. This dataset provides a longitudinal view of India’s higher education performance, enabling detailed trend analysis, performance comparison, and educational insights.

Each year (2016–2025) contains rankings with detailed parameters for every institution. ContextResearch-oriented cancer hospitals in the United States treat and study patients with a range of diseases. Measures of disease specific research productivity, and comparison to overall productivity, are currently lacking.HypothesisDifferent institutions are specialized in research of particular diseases.ObjectiveTo report disease specific productivity of American cancer hospitals, and propose a summary measure.MethodWe conducted a retrospective observational survey of the 50 highest ranked cancer hospitals in the 2013 US News and World Report rankings. We performed an automated search of PubMed and Clinicaltrials.gov for published reports and registrations of clinical trials (respectively) addressing specific cancers between 2008 and 2013. We calculated the summed impact factor for the publications. We generated a summary measure of productivity based on the number of Phase II clinical trials registered and the impact factor of Phase II clinical trials published for each institution and disease pair. We generated rankings based on this summary measure.ResultsWe identified 6076 registered trials and 6516 published trials with a combined impact factor of 44280.4, involving 32 different diseases over the 50 institutions. Using a summary measure based on registered and published clinical trails, we ranked institutions in specific diseases. As expected, different institutions were highly ranked in disease-specific productivity for different diseases. 43 institutions appeared in the top 10 ranks for at least 1 disease (vs 10 in the overall list), while 6 different institutions were ranked number 1 in at least 1 disease (vs 1 in the overall list).ConclusionResearch productivity varies considerably among the sample. Overall cancer productivity conceals great variation between diseases. Disease specific rankings identify sites of high academic productivity, which may be of interest to physicians, patients and researchers.
