The list contains the name and location of persons or entities identified on Appendix C of the Form ETA-9142B that were hired by, or working for, the recruiter that employers have indicated they engaged, or planned to engage, in the recruitment of prospective H-2B workers to perform the work described on their H-2B application. By providing this Foreign Labor Recruiter List, the U.S. Department of Labor is in a better position to enforce recruitment violations and workers are better protected against fraudulent recruiting schemes. Specifically, they will be able to verify whether a recruiter is recruiting for legitimate H-2B job opportunities in the United States. Workers can use the case number(s) associated with a recruiter in this list to identify the job order(s) in OFLC's Electronic Job Registry for which the recruiter is seeking workers.
The historical Prevailing Wage public disclosure data available on the Office of Foreign Labor Certification (OFLC) web page in the Performance Data section. This dataset includes data collected from Prevailing Wage applications during previous fiscal years. It includes information on employers, geography, job details, etc. for participants in the Prevailing Wage program. Historical Prevailing Wage public disclosure data is available on the OFLC website in the Performance Data section. Data is available as Excel files in aggregate form for previous fiscal years at https://www.dol.gov/agencies/eta/foreign-labor/performance.
This dataset includes the historical series of State Unemployment Insurance (UI) Data Validation program results. The purpose of the Data Validation (DV) program is to verify the accuracy of the Unemployment Insurance Required Reports (UIRR) system data. States report UI data to the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) on a monthly and quarterly basis under the UIRR system. The UIRR data are used for gathering economic statistics, allocating UI administrative funding, measuring state performance, and accounting for fund utilization. Therefore, it is important that states report UIRR data accurately and uniformly. States use the DV software provided by DOL to conduct the validation and submit results.

Historical Employment Statistics 1990 - current. The Current Employment Statistics (CES) more information program provides the most current estimates of nonfarm employment, hours, and earnings data by industry (place of work) for the nation as a whole, all states, and most major metropolitan areas. The CES survey is a federal-state cooperative endeavor in which states develop state and sub-state data using concepts, definitions, and technical procedures prescribed by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). Estimates produced by the CES program include both full- and part-time jobs. Excluded are self-employment, as well as agricultural and domestic positions. In Connecticut, more than 4,000 employers are surveyed each month to determine the number of the jobs in the State. For more information please visit us at http://www1.ctdol.state.ct.us/lmi/ces/default.asp.

This indicator includes the estimated total lost wages related to opioid use and the associated lost tax revenue for the state. Estimated lost wages are due to absenteeism, reduced productivity, hospitalization, unemployment and labor force exits due to opioid use. This value is the product of the estimated number of individuals with drug use disorder, the average weekly wages for county of residence—as reported by the Bureau of Labor Statistics—multiplied by 52 to represent annual wages, and a 17% reduction in productivity. The 17% reduction in productivity is from the following report: https://www.justice.gov/archive/ndic/pubs44/44731/44731p.pdf

The Local Area Unemployment Statistics (LAUS) program produces monthly employment, unemployment, and labor force data for Census regions and divisions, States, counties, metropolitan areas, and many cities, by place of residence. The LAUS program is a federal-state cooperative endeavor in which states develop state and sub-state data using concepts, definitions, and technical procedures prescribed by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). A major source of labor force data estimates, the Current Population Survey (CPS) includes a sample of over 1,600 Connecticut households each month regarding the labor force status of their occupants

This dataset is an update of Sharan Naribole's earlier dataset titled H-1B Visa Petitions 2011-2016. Inspired by his work and using a modified, updated version of his R script, I wrangled U.S. H1-B visa petitions data for the years 2015-2019. The previous dataset can be found here: link to Sharan's dataset.
H1-B visas are the most common visa status applied for and held by international students once they begin working full-time in the U.S.
Please see the original dataset for more context information.
This dataset includes 5 years worth of H1-B visa petitions in the U.S. The columns in the dataset include case status, employer name, worksite coordinates, job title, prevailing wage, occupation code, and year filed.
This file contains H1-B data from the LCA Program data files (H1-B, H-1B1, E-3). These datasets can be found on the U.S. Department of Labor Site.
Shout out to Sharan Naribole for the original project idea and easy-to-update R script.

Which states/cities/companies provide the most H1-B visas? For your job description, which city should you be in to have the most opportunities? Which companies should you apply to if you would like the best odds of obtaining a H1-B visa?
The United States Department of Labor tells us that "Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country."
This database of state-level union membership and coverage from 1983 to 2015 was originally compiled by Barry Hirsch (Andrew Young School of Policy Studies, Georgia State University) and David Macpherson (Department of Economics, Trinity University). The database, available at unionstats.com provides private and public sector labor union membership, coverage, and density estimates compiled from the monthly household Current Population Survey (CPS) using BLS methods.
Use of this data requires citation of the following paper which also includes a description of how the database was created: Barry T. Hirsch and David A. Macpherson, "Union Membership and Coverage Database from the Current Population Survey: Note," Industrial and Labor Relations Review, Vol. 56, No. 2, January 2003, pp. 349-54. (PDF).

This dataset contains required veteran employment data by federal contractors/subcontractors, who are required to report annually the number of employees in their workforces who are veterans covered under VEVRAA.
The U.S. Department of Labor's Veterans' Employment and Training Service (VETS) and Office of Federal Contractor Compliance Programs (OFCCP) have supported affirmative actions to employ and advance in employment of covered veterans since 2008. As legislatively mandated under 38 U.S. Code Section 4212, codified at 41 CFR 61-300, contractors and subcontractors who enter into, or modify a contract or subcontract with the federal government, and whose contract meets the criteria set forth in the above legislation / regulations, are required to report annually on their affirmative action efforts in employing veterans. Data reported through form VETS-4212 is used by OFCCP in compliance evaluations.
