The watershed boundary is associated to watercourses that are open, closed (buried) or associated to overland flow (ephemeral flow). Upper Thames River Conservation Authority (UTRCA) watershed boundary is defined for watershed management purposes. The watershed boundary may incorporate urban storm water or sewage systems main pipelines but are not inclusive of all urban systems.

Persons or Agencies downloading from this site are responsible for reading and abiding to information contained within the Licence provided.The Upper Thames River Conservation Authority (UTRCA) watershed boundaries was merged and modified from the ArcHydro Catchment layers and edited using updated drainage layers and digital elevation models (DEM). The ArcHydro Catchment layer delineates surface drainage divides for selected watercourses. The primary data source for this layer was 1983 digital 1:10,000 Ontario Base Mapping (OBM). The information used to define the watercourses for purposes of defining watersheds was based on 1983 data or earlier. Watersheds were based on surface flow and did not incorporate underground, urban stormwater or sewage systems.
