City Council enacted the new Kingston Zoning Bylaw Number 2022-62 on April 26, 2022. The Kingston Zoning Bylaw regulates the use of lands and the size and location of buildings for almost all properties in the City of Kingston (all properties except those identified as “Not Subject to this By-law”). Two appeals were filed during the appeal period to the Ontario Land Tribunal. On September 28, 2022, the Ontario Land Tribunal issued an oral decision confirming that all of the unappealed portions of Kingston Zoning By-law are now in effect.Portions of the Former Zoning By-laws remain in effect and are identified in By-law 2022-62 as "“Not Subject to this By-law”.
