Represents public road centerlines in the state of Maine. Created by Maine Department of Transportation using MaineDOT's basemap linework managed in METRANS, MaineDOT's Linear Referencing System (LRS). MaineDOT_Public_Roads includes the most commonly-used attributes such as traffic volumes, federal functional classifications, jurisdiction, priority and more. This is updated regularly through a service, although the AGOL "Updated" date may only reflect the date this feature layer was created.Route and Road names: While MaineDOT's record of "Streetname" attribute is included and matches the official NG911 names whenever possible, the official road names are reflected in the NG911 (a.k.a. E911) data available from the Maine Geolibrary While multiple route designations (US Route 202, State Route 27, etc.) may be co-located on any given road, this dataset only shows the "primary" route.This dataset is designed for use in applications within MaineDOT.
