This layer contains the Digital Elevation Model for LiDAR data in Marlborough, captured between 26 May 2018 – 12 September 2018.
The DSM is available as layer Marlborough LiDAR 1m DSM (2018)
The Index Tiles are available as layer Marlborough LiDAR Index Tiles (2018)
The LAS Point Cloud is available as layer Marlborough LiDAR Point Cloud (2018)

LiDAR was captured for Marlborough District Council by Aerial Surveys Ltd between 26 May 2018 – 12 September 2018. LiDAR is in the Marlborough Region covering the Flaxbourne River, Lake Grassmere, Seddon, Lower Awatere Valley, Picton, Waikawa, the Wairau Valley and Plains, including Spring Creek, Tuamarina and parts of Blenheim. These datasets were generated by Aerial Surveys Ltd and their subcontractors. Data management and distribution is by Toitū Te Whenua Land Information New Zealand.
Data comprises:
DEM: tif or asc tiles in NZTM2000 projection, tiled into a 1:1,000 tile layout
DSM: tif or asc tiles in NZTM2000 projection, tiled into a 1:1,000 tile layout
Point cloud: las tiles in NZTM2000 projection, tiled into a 1:1,000 tile layout
Pulse density specification is at a minimum of 3.5 pulses/square metre.
Vertical Accuracy Specification is +/- 0.2m (95%) Horizontal Accuracy Specification is +/- 1.0m (95%)
Vertical datum is NZVD2016.
