The zoning ordinance translates the City of Santa Monica’s General Plan into specific regulations. With the adoption of the 2010 Land Use and Circulation Element a comprehensive Zoning Update project was undertaken. The most recent update to the Zoning Ordinance went into effect March 30, 2017.
