This data collection contains basic demographic, social, and economic data for each member of interviewed households during the eight waves of the 1991 Panel of SIPP. Variables include age, sex, race, ethnic origin, marital status, household relationship, education, and veteran status. Limited data are provided on housing unit characteristics such as number of units in structure and tenure. Core questions, repeated at each interview, cover monthly labor force activity, types and amounts of monthly income, and participation in various cash and noncash benefit programs for each month of the survey period. Data for employed persons include number of hours and weeks worked, earnings, and weeks without a job. Nonworkers are classified as unemployed or not in the labor force. In addition to income data associated with labor force activity, nearly 50 other types of income data are provided. Several variables are included for use in identifying longitudinal households and persons in them and to aid in analysis.

The dataset presents median income data over a decade or more for males and females categorized by Total, Full-Time Year-Round (FT), and Part-Time (PT) employment in Woodlawn. It showcases annual income, providing insights into gender-specific income distributions and the disparities between full-time and part-time work. The dataset can be utilized to gain insights into gender-based pay disparity trends and explore the variations in income for male and female individuals.
Key observations: Insights from 2023
Based on our analysis ACS 2019-2023 5-Year Estimates, we present the following observations: - All workers, aged 15 years and older: In Woodlawn, the median income for all workers aged 15 years and older, regardless of work hours, was $51,028 for males and $30,387 for females.
These income figures highlight a substantial gender-based income gap in Woodlawn. Women, regardless of work hours, earn 60 cents for each dollar earned by men. This significant gender pay gap, approximately 40%, underscores concerning gender-based income inequality in the village of Woodlawn.
- Full-time workers, aged 15 years and older: In Woodlawn, for all full-time workers aged 15 years and older, the median income was equal at, $60,977 for both males and females. This indicates a gender income balance in Woodlawn, where both men and women, in full-time year-round roles, earn an equal income.Curiously, across all roles (full-time and others), there was a notable income disparity between the median incomes for women and men. This hints at a considerable reduction in the income gap within full-time roles, potentially indicating progress towards income equality for women in these roles within Woodlawn.
When available, the data consists of estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau American Community Survey (ACS) 2019-2023 5-Year Estimates. All incomes have been adjusting for inflation and are presented in 2023-inflation-adjusted dollars.

The dataset presents median income data over a decade or more for males and females categorized by Total, Full-Time Year-Round (FT), and Part-Time (PT) employment in Lebanon. It showcases annual income, providing insights into gender-specific income distributions and the disparities between full-time and part-time work. The dataset can be utilized to gain insights into gender-based pay disparity trends and explore the variations in income for male and female individuals.
Key observations: Insights from 2023
Based on our analysis ACS 2019-2023 5-Year Estimates, we present the following observations: - All workers, aged 15 years and older: In Lebanon, the median income for all workers aged 15 years and older, regardless of work hours, was $53,514 for males and $30,978 for females.
These income figures highlight a substantial gender-based income gap in Lebanon. Women, regardless of work hours, earn 58 cents for each dollar earned by men. This significant gender pay gap, approximately 42%, underscores concerning gender-based income inequality in the city of Lebanon.
- Full-time workers, aged 15 years and older: In Lebanon, among full-time, year-round workers aged 15 years and older, males earned a median income of $71,043, while females earned $51,912, leading to a 27% gender pay gap among full-time workers. This illustrates that women earn 73 cents for each dollar earned by men in full-time roles. This analysis indicates a widening gender pay gap, showing a substantial income disparity where women, despite working full-time, face a more significant wage discrepancy compared to men in the same roles.Surprisingly, the gender pay gap percentage was higher across all roles, including non-full-time employment, for women compared to men. This suggests that full-time employment offers a more equitable income scenario for women compared to other employment patterns in Lebanon.
When available, the data consists of estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau American Community Survey (ACS) 2019-2023 5-Year Estimates. All incomes have been adjusting for inflation and are presented in 2023-inflation-adjusted dollars.
