    Description

Program Background - ADWR has two key groundwater well data sets for the state of Arizona. The 'Wells 55 Registry' corresponds with this WellRegistry GIS layer and contains all wells registered in the state. The database was originally created in 1980 to store registration information submitted by well owners and drillers. It contains over 200,000 well records. A second key well data set is also maintained at ADWR. The Groundwater Well Site Inventory (GWSI), is a statewide database that contains well locations, construction, and water level measurements for wells that have actually been located and sampled in the field (originally by the USGS and since 1990 by ADWR). The GWSI database contains over 45,000 well records. Of those, approximately 24,700 have been ‘matched’ to the Wells 55 Registry and therefore have a 'Wells 55 Registry ID'.Purpose and intended use - This data is used by both internal and external customers and is most commonly used to search for registered wells within the State.Data creation methodologies, processing, and quality - The database was originally created in 1980 to store registration information submitted by well owners and drillers. New wells are added as driller logs and reports are received.Data limitations – Please refer to ADWR Data Disclaimer. This data set contains data submitted by well owners and well drillers. Data availability is therefore limited to data provided by the public. The wells mapped to the centroid of the containing Cadastral (normally Quarter-Quarter-Quarter Section). More precise user-submitted locations are not contained in this GIS layer, however they are stored internally and are available to the public upon request for approximately 20% of the wells.Currency – Updated dailyContact – Manager, Groundwater Permitting and Wells, (602)771-8527Use limitations – Please refer to ADWR Data Disclaimer.Attribute information - programADWR program codeREGISTRY_IDUnique identifier for well record in the Wells 55 Registry database.owner_nameThe registered owner of the wellrgr_pump_dataWas water removed before 2008 or was water received in the last yearwelltypeType of wellwell_type_groupWell Type groupdlic_numMost recent driller's license numberapprovedThe earliest date in which drilling was approvedinstalledThe earliest date of well constructionwell_depthThe depth of the well in feetwater_levelThe reported depth to water in feetcasing_depthThe depth of the well's casing in feetcasing_diameterThe diameter of the well's casing in inchescasing_typeThe type of casing usedpump_typeThe type of pump usedpump_powerThe method of how the pump is poweredpumprateThe rated pumping capacity in gallons per minutetestedrateThe tested pumping capacity in gallons per minutedraw_downThe amount of water that pumping has lowered the water level in feetcompletion_report_statusStatus for reporting the completion level of the well (X-Completed, I-Incomplete, A-Abandoned, N-no report required)drill_logThe driller log's received status (X-Completed, I-Incomplete, A-Abandoned, N-no report required)well_cancelledThis indicates if the well was cancelledCadastralCadastral code indicating township, range, section location information. Description

New York State registered water well drillers are required to submit completion reports documenting where wells have been drilled, the specifications of those wells, and any subsequent work performed on those wells. Data regarding water wells has been collected since April 2000 as required by ECL 15-1525. Completion reports for the wells are added as they become available. Historical wells are added as the wells are mapped. Well locations are generally accurate to the parcel scale but may not represent the exact location on the property.Service layer is updated annually, and last updated 02/18/2025.For more information see https://dec.ny.gov/environmental-protection/water/water-quantity/water-well-contractor-program1. Description

Extracting useful and accurate information from scanned geologic and other earth science maps is a time-consuming and laborious process involving manual human effort. To address this limitation, the USGS partnered with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) to run the AI for Critical Mineral Assessment Competition, soliciting innovative solutions for automatically georeferencing and extracting features from maps. The competition opened for registration in August 2022 and concluded in December 2022. Training and validation data from the map feature extraction challenge are provided here, as well as competition details and a baseline solution. The data were derived from published sources and are provided to the public to support continued development of automated georeferencing and feature extraction tools. References for all maps are included with the data.

The digital topographic maps are generated from digital landscape and terrain models as well as the official real estate register information system ALKIS and visualised according to the national ATKIS signature catalogue. They are available in a maximum of 23 content levels (according to the technical regulations of the AdV) in three forms (single layers, gray combination and color combination). The data are available nationwide and in the uniform geodetic reference system and map projection for the state of Brandenburg. The raster data are divided into different levels according to cartographic content elements. They are delivered as single-coloured single layers (layers) and as colored combination outputs in a uniform resolution. In addition, the data in the standard sheet section (with map frame and legend) are offered as PDF and as a plotted card. They are available as web services, raster data and analog card prints (plots). When using the data, the license conditions must be observed. Description

The data in these six files is derived from Wellogic, the EGLE statewide ground water database. The six files combined contain information on over 575,000 spatially verified water well records. The six files are intended to provide water well information for wells in counties clustered by geographic region: Upper Peninsula, Northern Lower Peninsula, East Central Lower Peninsula, West Central Lower Peninsula, Southwest Lower Peninsula and the South Central – Southeastern Lower Peninsula. The files are constructed to be easily merged, containing the same number and type of attribute fields. Although the derived data in these files represents the best readily available data, the six files do not represent a complete database of all wells or well records in existence. Beginning January 1, 2000 virtually 100% of new wells constructed are accounted for in Wellogic, however for wells older than 2000 the rate of inclusion varies from county to county, and may be considerably lower. Further, there is a quality control check on location that may exclude a limited number of wells from Wellogic from the six files made available on this site. The locational data also has varying degrees of accuracy; ranging from precise GPS point collection to address geocoding, but there may also be erroneous locations regardless of collection method that have not been corrected as of yet. Refer to the METHD_COLL field to determine each individual record’s potential locational accuracy. All data released with this set of geological maps is public domain data. The project has, however, benefited from a number of additional third-party data sources which have been used to help inform final maps and/or derive interpreted products. These include the 21CXRM Palaeozoic project (which is now available in the public domain),the Southern Permian Basin Atlas (SPBA),PGS’s North Sea Digital Atlas and East Shetland Platform seismic interpretation project, Frogtech’s East Shetland Platform Project, IGI’s Source Rock Evaluation for the East Shetland Platform, research data from the University of Aberdeen, seismic interpretation work and other geological studies carried out by Durham University on the SW Approaches, seismic interpretation work carried out by Heriot-Watt University on the Mid North Sea High, seismic interpretation work carried out by Aberdeen University on the Rockall area CGG’s Target database and relevant products available via the BGS’s Offshore Geoindex. TGS are gratefully acknowledged for providing joined digital log data from LogLinePlus to enable the production of sand flag curves. Schlumberger, TGS and BP are acknowledged for providing additional seismic data to help QC interpretation carried out within the project and CDA are also kindly acknowledged for their support in downloading and providing much of the released well data to LR as part of this project. Due to the high level, regional nature of the project, the depth structure and structural elements maps have been produced for the main geological time intervals, e.g. Paleocene, Lower Cretaceous, Upper Jurassic. Depositional facies maps and reservoir distribution maps were produced for a higher number of stratigraphic intervals such as the Danian, Selandian and Thanetian (Paleocene).

    The following products are available:

    •Depth structure maps

    •Isochore maps

    •Structural elements maps

    •Depositional facies maps

    •Reservoir distribution maps

    •Well penetration maps

    •Hydrocarbon occurrence maps
