In July 2020, Westchester County GIS launched the new GeoHub website to make Westchester County geospatial data more organized and accessible to the general public. The site offers an abundance of free County-focused data and maps, including interactive mapping applications, which provide information on specific topics. From infrastructure to flood zones, ecosystems to census data, local businesses to nonprofits, the GeoHub offers a way to visualize, communicate, explore, analyze and plan. Data was obtained by Westchester County GIS "as is" from various Federal, State and Local agencies. Local youth agencies and municipal youth program data was provided by Westcheter County Youth Bureau in 2018.

This application was built for the public to view Westchester County Aerial photos from various years side by side.

This data layer was derived from Westchester County GIS Landuse (wclanduse) layer. Wclanduse layer was updated last in 2011. Wclanduse dataset identifies land use categories at the tax parcel level in Westchester County, NY, and includes other boundary and ownership references for the internal use of the County. Comprised of the tax parcel files available as of publication date, originally obtained from the various Towns and cities, and modified by the Westchester County Department of Planning. The data was updated in October 2019.

In 2008, County GIS developed the Natural Resource Inventory (NRI) map series to provide access to a wide range of environmental data in hardcopy (PDF) format. The countywide maps were generated in a uniform grid and scale (800’) optimized to be printed on 11X17 sized paper. The inventory included a number of environmental features, several of which have been updated since initial publication in 2008. Today, ArcGIS.com technology has made it possible for County GIS to provide the NRIs map series online. Using selected feature layers from the existing and publicly available Environmental Features map service, a new web map was created to include all of the same data in the original NRI map series. The new web map, which also includes the original map grid for reference purposes, will enable users to change base maps, use measuring tools, draw and redline on the map, and access feature attribute data.

This layer is a component of CADWMS.

Detailed 2-foot contour lines and planimetric features such as buildings, paved surfaces (including sidewalks, parking lots, driveways and the edge of pavement) and street centerlines are included in this map service. Environmental features such as wetlands and soil type delineation can also be viewed using this map service.

Publication Date: April 2025 2024 Parcel Data. Updated annually, or as needed. The data can be downloaded here: https://gis.ny.gov/parcels#data-download. This feature service has two layers: 1) NYS Tax Parcels Public, and 2) NYS Tax Parcels Public Footprint which contains polygons representing counties for which tax parcel polygons are available in the NYS Tax Parcels Public layer. County footprint polygons display when zoomed out beyond 1:37,050-scale. Tax parcel polygons display when zoomed in below 1:37,051-scale. The NYS Tax Parcels Public layer contains 2024 parcel data only for NY State counties which gave NYS ITS Geospatial Services permission to share this data with the public. Work to obtain parcel data from additional counties, as well as permission to share the data, is ongoing. To date, 36 counties have provided Geospatial Services permission to share their parcel data with the public. Parcel data for counties which do not allow Geospatial Services to redistribute their data must be obtained directly from those counties. Geospatial Services' goal is to eventually include parcel data for all counties in New York State. Parcel geometry was incorporated as received from County Real Property Departments. No attempt was made to edge-match parcels along adjacent counties. County attribute values were populated using 2024 Assessment Roll tabular data the NYS ITS Geospatial Services obtained from the NYS Department of Tax and Finance’s Office of Real Property Tax Services (ORPTS). Tabular assessment data was joined to the county provided parcel geometry using the SWIS & SBL or SWIS & PRINT KEY unique identifier for each parcel. New York City data comes from NYC MapPluto which can be found here: https://www1.nyc.gov/site/planning/data-maps/open-data/dwn-pluto-mappluto.page. Thanks to the following counties that specifically authorized Geospatial Services to share their GIS tax parcel data with the public: Albany, Cayuga, Chautauqua, Cortland, Erie, Genesee, Greene, Hamilton, Lewis, Livingston, Montgomery, NYC- Bronx, NYC- Kings (Brooklyn), NYC- New York (Manhattan), NYC- Queens, NYC- Richmond (Staten Island), Oneida, Onondaga, Ontario, Orange, Oswego, Otsego, Putnam, Rensselaer, Rockland, Schuyler, St Lawrence, Steuben, Suffolk, Sullivan, Tioga, Tompkins, Ulster, Warren, Wayne, and Westchester. Geometry accuracy varies by contributing county. This map service is available to the public. The State of New York, acting through the New York State Office of Information Technology Services, makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, with respect to the use of or reliance on the Data provided. This municipal tax parcel map service contains data for all 43 municipalities in Westchester County. The parcel data in the service are provided by each municipality (attributes may be different from municipality to municipality). The data made available in this service is for general information and planning purposes only, and should not be relied upon as a sole informational source. This file contains planimetric basemap data of Westchester County, New York. The source for the data was aerial photography acquired in April 2004. This layer represents the ground location of utility poles, light poles and utility poles with light fixtures. The data was photogrammetrically stereo-compiled to North American Datum 1983; New York State Plane East Zone. Image horizontal accuracy is +/-2.5 ft. at the 90% confidence level.

This data layer consists of County-, State and Municipal Parks, Open Spaces and Parkway Lands and is a result of a comprehensive county-wide update to the 1994 major open spaces GIS data layer and map. The layer was derived from the "wcospace" layer which serves as the master coverage of all county open space. A variety of sources were used to compile this information, including aerial photography, digital tax parcel data, and local recreation, land use and master plan maps. Other sources included municipal planning departments and consultants, conservation committees and the Westchester Land Trust.

The stormwater data was developed to facilitate MS4 reporting. MS4 is short for "Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System". The data developed by Dolph Rotfeld Engineering and Stellar Services was captured in early 2020. This layer's drainage piepes are all county owned property. It was prepared for Westchetser County Government, Department of Public Works and Transportation.
