TwitterThis dataset contains information on the European groundwater body horizons delineated for the 3rd River Basin Management Plans (RBMP) under the Water Framework Directive (WFD). The information was reported to the European Commission under the Water Framework Directive (WFD) reporting obligations. The dataset compiles the available spatial data related to the 3rd RBMPs due in 2022 (hereafter WFD2022). See http://rod.eionet.europa.eu/obligations/780 for further information on the WFD2022 reporting.
According to the WFD reporting guidance, the spatial delineation of each groundwater body horizon must be reported if, and only if, a groundwater body has different horizons. Please refer to Annex 4 in the WFD Reporting Guidance for further information on the spatial delineation of groundwater horizons. The horizon element identifies each of the horizons of a groundwater body, using a simple integer numeration (in the sense of the numerical position of the groundwater body starting with the first horizon from the surface). If the groundwater body belong to a single horizon, then the information in this dataset and corresponding service matches that of the WFD2022_GroundWaterBody_WM service.
Note: * This dataset has been reported by the member states. The subsequent QC revealed some problems caused by self-intersections elements. Data can be processed using QGIS.

The dataset contains information on the European river basin districts, the river basin district sub-units, the surface water bodies and the groundwater bodies delineated for the 2nd River Basin Management Plans (RBMP) under the Water Framework Directive (WFD) as well as the European monitoring sites used for the assessment of the status of the above mentioned surface water bodies and groundwater bodies. The information was reported to the European Commission under the Water Framework Directive (WFD) reporting obligations. The dataset compiles the available spatial data related to the 2nd RBMPs due in 2016 (hereafter WFD2016). See http://rod.eionet.europa.eu/obligations/715 for further information on the WFD2016 reporting. See also https://rod.eionet.europa.eu/obligations/766 for information on the Environmental Quality Standards Directive - Preliminary programmes of measures and supplementary monitoring. Where available, spatial data related to the 3rd RBMPs due in 2022 (hereafter WFD2022) was used to update the WFD2016 data. See https://rod.eionet.europa.eu/obligations/780 for further information on the WFD2022 reporting.

TwitterThe dataset contains information on the European river basin districts, the river basin district sub-units, the surface water bodies and the groundwater bodies delineated for the 1st River Basin Management Plans (RBMP) under the Water Framework Directive (WFD) as well as the European monitoring sites used for the assessment of the status of the abovementioned surface water bodies and groundwater bodies.
The information was reported to the European Commission under the Water Framework Directive (WFD) reporting obligations.
The dataset compiles the available spatial data related to the 1st RBMPs which were due in 2010 (hereafter WFD2010). See http://rod.eionet.europa.eu/obligations/521 for further information on the WFD2010 reporting.
It was prepared to support the reporting of the 2nd RBMPs due in 2016 (hereafter WFD2016). See http://rod.eionet.europa.eu/obligations/715 for further information on the WFD2016 reporting. See also https://rod.eionet.europa.eu/obligations/766 for information on the Environmental Quality Standards Directive - Preliminary programmes of measures and supplementary monitoring.
The data reported in WFD2010 were updated using data reported in WFD2016, whenever the spatial objects are identical in 2010 and 2016. For WFD2010 objects, some information may be missing, if the objects no longer exist in the 2nd River Basin Management Plans, and were not reported in WFD2016. Where available, spatial data related to the 3rd RBMPs due in 2022 (hereafter WFD2022) was used to update the WFD2016 data. See https://rod.eionet.europa.eu/obligations/780 for further information on the WFD2022 reporting.

This metadata set describes ‘EnvironmentalMonitoringFacility’ as a spatial object type of INSPIRE Annex Theme III ‘Environmental Monitoring’. On behalf of the water management administrations in Germany, the Federal Institute for Hydrology (BfG) manages the data of the reporting on various water-related EC environmental directives in the national reporting portal Water (WasserBLIcK). On the basis of this data basis, the BfG provides selected map and data services in coordination with the Länderarbeitsgemeinschaft Wasser (LAWA). The services provided here are based on nationally homogenised data sets. Other administrative levels in Germany (country, district, district, municipality) may provide services in a higher spatial and temporal resolution on this topic.

Waterbase is the generic name given to the EEA's databases on the status and quality of Europe's rivers, lakes, groundwater bodies and transitional, coastal and marine waters, on the quantity of Europe's water resources, and on the emissions to surface waters from point and diffuse sources of pollution.
The dataset contains time series of nutrients, organic matter, hazardous substances and other chemicals in rivers, lakes, groundwater, transitional, coastal and marine waters. A list of spatial object identifiers with selected attributes, reported through WFD and WISE Spatial data reporting, is added to dataset as spatial reference. The data has been compiled and processed by EEA. Please refer to the metadata for additional information.
*** The dataset is split into two parts: Part 1: DisaggregatedData; Part 2: AggregatedData, AggregatedDataByWaterBody, SpatialObject_DerivedData. *** For an alternative option how to access the Waterbase data without downloading the full dataset, please see the 'Discodata user guide' in the Documents section.

Surface Water Masses (lines), third cycle management plans (2022-2027) as a result of the integration of the information provided by the 25 Hydrographic Districts, in response to Article 13 of the Water Framework Directive. It includes information on the 14 plans approved in the Council of Ministers on 24 January 2023 (the 12 intercommunal basins, the Balearic Islands and Galicia Costa) and of the other plans still pending approval in the version of the latest available documents. These last plans are those of the 7 Demarcations of the Canary Islands, Catalonia and the 3 Andalusian demarcations. The structure of the data is specified by the reporting guidelines of the Water Framework Directive, which can be consulted at https://cdr.eionet.europa.eu/help/WFD/WFD_780_2022. This information meets the obligations of Article 13 of Directive 2000/60/EC and is therefore included in the list of ‘high value data’ sets as environmental water data, as set out in Regulation 2023/138 of 21 December 2022 establishing a list of specific high value data sets and modalities for publication and re-use, in the framework of Directive 2019/1024 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 20 June 2019 on open data and the re-use of public sector information. This information is part of the national spatial reference data under Directive 2007/2/EC (INSPIRE). It has been produced in collaboration and coordinated between the different cartographic and hydrological organisms at the national and regional levels.
