The City boundaries is governed by ordinance and is only changed accordingly. Hillsborough County obtains the information of annexation ordinance, along with the legal description of property and a general area map from Cities (City of Tampa, Temple Terrace and Plant City) for the extended boundaries of its City Limit. These information are drawn using ArcMap to update existing boundaries for Cities. The boundaries are updated as needed basis when errors are found or when city annexation of a parcel of unincorporated county area have completed.
