    Description

    Abstract

This dataset was supplied to the Bioregional Assessment Programme by a third party and is presented here as originally supplied. Metadata was not provided and has been compiled by the Bioregional Assessment Programme based on known details at the time of acquisition.

This dataset includes the works details from with surface water licences from NSW in the NIC/NAM Additional PAE region. The short guide to NSW Office of Water's licensing data has been provided to accompany the dataset (both the spatial locations and the associated licence details).

A SHORT GUIDE TO NSW OFFICE OF WATER'S LICENSING DATA

    Methodology

    1. Using the supplied polygons a spatial select was taken for each polygon area for the Surface and Groundwater Approved Work locations. These Work Location points were exported to an ArcGIS 10.0 File Geodatabase for each polygon area. These work locations have a "Status" of either "Active" (under the Water Act) or "Current" (under the Water Management Act).

    2. The Approved License number attached to each Work was then used to query the Office of Water's Water Licensing System (WLS) to extract details on each Approved license including any linked Water Access Licenses (WAL) if the Work was now under the Water Management Act (WMA). These files end in *_WLS-EXTRACT_n.xls.

    3. If found the linked WAL number is used to re-query using WLS to extract details on each linked WAL. These files end in *_WLS-EXTRACT_n_WALs_volume.xls.

    4. It should be noted that due to query size constraints in WLS the output files for each polygon area may be split into a number of subset files ("n" being the number of the subset).

    5. The field headings are as per the WLS Extract report. They include some characters (e.g. "") that may cause problems if loaded into ArcGIS. Not knowing how the data is to be used I have not amended them.

    Understanding Licensing data

    1. A Licensed Work Approval may have more than work (and therefore work location, i.e. point) associated with it. If the Licensed Work Approval is under the old Water Act it may have associated with it an "Entitlement" volume (if on a Regulated River) or an "Allocation" volume in an unregulated area. Please note that these volumes are for the whole licensed approval distributed amongst the related works but not against any particular one.

    2. A Licensed Work Approval, if under the newer Water Management Act may have more than one linked WAL. Each WAL may have a "Share Component" volume associated with it. This will nee to be summed against each linked Licensed Work Approval to get the total WAL volume. Please note again that these volumes are for the whole licensed approval distributed amongst the related works but not against any particular one.

    3. It is important to note that under the WMA it is possible for WALs not to have a linked Licensed Work Approval (to support Water Trading). This means a spatial select with not find these WALs and the volumes associated with them. The WAL is still related to a particular Water Source and can be re-associated with a different Licensed Work Approval at a later date.

This dataset has been provided to the BA Programme for use within the programme only. Third parties may request a copy of the data from DPI Water (previously known as the NSW Office of Water) at http://www.water.nsw.gov.au/.

    Dataset History

This dataset was extracted from the NSW Office of Water's licensing system. Work Location points were exported to an ArcGIS 10.0 File Geodatabase for each polygon area supplied by the Bioregional Assessment project teams for each area. Corresponding work locations found with each polygon were exported from the licensing system.

    Description

The IP Licensing industry is growing courtesy of the expansion of fast food and franchise brands. QSR brands like McDonald’s, Chick-fil-A and Raising Cane’s rely significantly on licensing for IP elements such as trademarks, proprietary recipes, operational processes and digital assets. The industry has proven resilient because of operational efficiency, advantageous real estate utilization, the ability to scale rapidly through predefined processes and strong brand recognition. This growth necessitates sophisticated IP management, enforcement and protection services, leading to more advanced tools for digital asset management, contract automation and brand protection. Overall, industry revenue will gain at a CAGR of 3.1% to $69.9 billion through the end of 2025, including a 1.8% climb in 2025 alone. The broader franchising sector relies on an operational duplication model that necessitates effective IP licensing. With digital transformation, both the volume and complexity of IP assets are increasing, leading to diversification of revenue streams. Rising demand for digital content in the entertainment industry fuels the need for robust IP licensing and digital rights management. The increasing prevalence of dynamic and performance-based licensing models is a crucial trend in the industry. According to data from the International Franchise Association and FranData, the number of franchised establishments will climb by 2.5% in 2025. Through the five years to 2030, high-tech sectors like semiconductors and life sciences will significantly contribute to this sector's growth. The rapid pace of innovation and the evolving nature of products in these industries will require specialized expertise and tools. This surge of advancement will necessitate new and dynamic licensing models, as performance-based licensing gains traction. The industry will increasingly embrace the concept of modular and rapid-innovation IP systems, necessitating real-time tracking and updating of IP assets. The sector will develop more advanced tools for IP enforcement and protection, particularly for intangible digital assets, while managing data privacy and cybersecurity challenges. Overall, industry revenue will gain at a CAGR of 1.5% to reach $75.2 billion in 2030.

    Description

NOT CURRENT DATA - This dataset contains past records from the Public Passenger Vehicle Licenses dataset. It is intended for historical reference, not current licensing information. It follows the format of the Public Passenger Vehicle Licenses dataset, with the addition of two additional columns at the end. The Last Valid Date column indicates the most recent timestamp when that set of values appeared in the Public Passenger Vehicle Licenses dataset. It indicates when that version of the license record stopped being valid (was replaced by an updated version), not when it started being valid (replaced a previous version or was created for a newly added license). Due to various technical limitations, the Last Valid Date may be artificially late and intervening versions not shown are possible. The Record Version ID is a unique identifier that has no meaning beyond distinguishing different versions of the same RecordID. Please read the article linked below for more information. Due to a change in the source system on 11/19/2018, all licenses will appear to have been updated on that date or on 11/20/2018.

Note: This web page provides data on health facilities only. To file a complaint against a facility, please see: https://www.cdph.ca.gov/Programs/CHCQ/LCP/Pages/FileAComplaint.aspx

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH), Center for Health Care Quality, Licensing and Certification (L&C) Program licenses more than 30 types of healthcare facilities. The Electronic Licensing Management System (ELMS) is a California Department of Public Health data system created to manage state licensing-related data. ELMS records healthcare service provider applications, issues licenses, generates license renewal notices, determines license fees, issues and tracks State enforcement actions, and generates management reports. This file lists the services that are associated with California healthcare facilities that are operational and have a current license issued by the CDPH and/or a current U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) certification. This file can be linked by FACID to the Healthcare Facility Locations (Detailed) Open Data file for facility-related attributes, including geo-coding. The L&C Open Data facility services file is updated monthly. To link the CDPH facility IDs with those from other Departments, like HCAI, please reference the "Licensed Facility Cross-Walk" Open Data table at https://data.chhs.ca.gov/dataset/licensed-facility-crosswalk. A list of healthcare facilities with addresses can be found at: https://data.chhs.ca.gov/dataset/healthcare-facility-locations. Facility geographic variables are updated monthly, if latitude/longitude information is missing at any point in time, it should be available when the next time the Open Data facility file is refreshed.
