In support of new permitting workflows associated with anticipated WellSTAR needs, the CalGEM GIS unit extended the existing BLM PLSS Township & Range grid to cover offshore areas with the 3-mile limit of California jurisdiction. The PLSS grid as currently used by CalGEM is a composite of a BLM download (the majority of the data), additions by the DPR, and polygons created by CalGEM to fill in missing areas (the Ranchos, and Offshore areas within the 3-mile limit of California jurisdiction).CalGEM is the Geologic Energy Management Division of the California Department of Conservation, formerly the Division of Oil, Gas, and Geothermal Resources (as of January 1, 2020).Update Frequency: As Needed

The records within this dataset represent those pieces of land that are developed parks, undeveloped land held by PRCR for future parks, and open spaces maintained by PRCR.This dataset is suitable for cartographic representation and as an input for further analysis. This dataset represents the address point locations assigned by the Mat-Su Borough GIS/Addressing staff. Most of the parcels within the Mat-Su Borough that are road accessible have been assigned a physical address except where the access point is unknown, as with undeveloped corner lots. The address points in this dataset do not necessarily represent precise building locations as the data was originally based on the underlying parcel centroids. Data has historically been constructed and maintained using ArcView and ArcEditor applications. The current address assignment process involves using an ArcMap extension called MapSAG, which creates point features as directed by the GIS Addressing staff. Address information is populated at this time. As underlying parcel data accuracy has been spatially improved through field verification and mapping grade GPS equipment, address points have been shifted accordingly to fall within the appropriate parcels.

The Counties dataset was updated on October 31, 2023 from the United States Census Bureau (USCB) and is part of the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT)/Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) National Transportation Atlas Database (NTAD). This resource is a member of a series. The TIGER/Line shapefiles and related database files (.dbf) are an extract of selected geographic and cartographic information from the U.S. Census Bureau's Master Address File / Topologically Integrated Geographic Encoding and Referencing (MAF/TIGER) Database (MTDB). The MTDB represents a seamless national file with no overlaps or gaps between parts, however, each TIGER/Line shapefile is designed to stand alone as an independent data set, or they can be combined to cover the entire nation. The primary legal divisions of most states are termed counties. In Louisiana, these divisions are known as parishes. In Alaska, which has no counties, the equivalent entities are the organized boroughs, city and boroughs, municipalities, and for the unorganized area, census areas. The latter are delineated cooperatively for statistical purposes by the State of Alaska and the Census Bureau. In four states (Maryland, Missouri, Nevada, and Virginia), there are one or more incorporated places that are independent of any county organization and thus constitute primary divisions of their states. These incorporated places are known as independent cities and are treated as equivalent entities for purposes of data presentation. The District of Columbia and Guam have no primary divisions, and each area is considered an equivalent entity for purposes of data presentation. The Census Bureau treats the following entities as equivalents of counties for purposes of data presentation: Municipios in Puerto Rico, Districts and Islands in American Samoa, Municipalities in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, and Islands in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The entire area of the United States, Puerto Rico, and the Island Areas is covered by counties or equivalent entities. The boundaries for counties and equivalent entities are mostly as of January 1, 2023, as reported through the Census Bureau's Boundary and Annexation Survey (BAS). The Integrated Cadastral Data Exchange project transformed source datasets from county data producers to create a standardized dataset with consistent attributes (fields). The individual standardized county datasets were aggregated into a single dataset. The aggregated parcel dataset includes all 100 counties in North Carolina plus lands of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. The source geometry is retained as published by individual county data producers. This dataset includes attributes such as ownership, area in acres, assessed value, and other core cadastral attributes. The source CIR 1-meter resolution imagery was purchased from the North West Group (NWG) by three state agencies (California Dept. of Fish and Game, California Dept. of Transportation, and California Dept. of Water Resources). No access constraints, but there are use constraints. CIR coverage was not available in all areas. THIS CIR IMAGERY IS NOT A NAIP PRODUCT.
