The NC Center for Geographic Information and Analysis, using US Department of Commerce, Bureau of the Census data, developed the GIS data set, 1980 Census Boundaries/Population, containing easily accessible population and housing counts for the state of North Carolina. This file was developed to enable a user to see population and housing statistics from the 1980 Census as a way of tracking population and housing counts over time. This data was created to assist governmental agencies and others in making resource management decisions through use of a Geographic Information System (GIS). This dataset examines the number of unidentified persons reported to the Centers for Disease Control and Preventions (CDC) National Death Index (NDI), by State, from 1980 to 2004. This report also looks at the number of unidentified human remains reported to the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) National Crime Information Center (NCIC) Unidentified Person File. It describes the characteristics by race and gender and the manner of death. Highlights include the following: Between 1980 and 2004, about 10,300 unidentified human remains were reported to the National Death Index (NDI). Almost three-quarters of unidentified persons were reported by 5 states; Arizona, California, Florida, New York, and Texas. Of the 2,900 National Crime Information Center records that contained data on the manner of death, 27% were ruled homicides; 12%, accidental deaths; 7%, natural causes; and 5%, suicides. The majority of unidentified persons were white (70%); blacks made up 15% of unidentified persons; and race could not be determined in 13% of the cases. This dataset tracks the average applied tariff rates in both industrial and developing countries. Data is averaged for the years 1981-2005. Figures for 2005 have been estimated. Notes: All tariff rates are based on unweighted averages for all goods in ad valorem rates, or applied rates, or MFN rates whichever data is available in a longer period. Tariff data is primarily based on UNCTAD TRAINS database and then used WTO IDB data for gap filling if possible. Data in 1980s is taken from other source.** Tariff data in these countries came from IMF Global Monitoring Tariff file in 2004 which might include other duties or charges. Country codes are based on the classifications by income in WDI 2006, where 1 = low income, 2 = middle income, 3 = high incone non-OECDs, and 4 = high income OECD countries. The ICP data collection was conducted in 100 economies, divided into five regions, and when combined with a Eurostat-OECD PPP program, brings the total to 146 economies. The principal outputs of the ICP are estimates of Purchasing Power Parities (PPPs) benchmarked to the year 2005. The new PPPs replace previous benchmark estimates, some dating back to the 1980s. The preliminary global ICP report provides information on gross domestic product (GDP), GDP per capita, household consumption, collective government consumption, and capital formation for all 146 economies. These estimates are derived from PPPs based upon national surveys that priced nearly 1,000 products and services. Comparative price levels are also included. (The figures in this dataset are all in current US $ as of 2005)
