These data were developed by the Research & Analytics group at the Atlanta Regional Commission using data from the U.S. Census Bureau across all standard and custom geographies at statewide summary level where applicable. For a deep dive into the data model including every specific metric, see the DHC 2020 Data Manifest. The manifest details ARC-defined naming conventions, field names/descriptions and topics, summary levels; source tables; notes and so forth for all metrics. Find geography definitions and user notes below. These are indicators built from the 2020 Decennial CensusThis is the second release based on the 2020 Census following the Redistricting Data release previously. The DHC release lets us drill deeper on age than the redistricting data (that only breaks at 0-17 and 18+). Additionally, we get some data on household type and housing tenure.Geographies AAA = Area Agency on Aging (12 geographic units formed from counties providing statewide coverage) ARC21 = Atlanta Regional Commission modeling area (21 counties merged to a single geographic unit) ARWDB7 = Atlanta Regional Workforce Development Board (7 counties merged to a single geographic unit) BeltLineStatistical (buffer) BeltLineStatisticalSub (subareas) Census Tract (statewide) CFGA23 = Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta (23 counties merged to a single geographic unit) City (statewide) City of Atlanta Council Districts (City of Atlanta) City of Atlanta Neighborhood Planning Unit (City of Atlanta) City of Atlanta Neighborhood Statistical Areas (City of Atlanta) County (statewide) Georgia House (statewide) Georgia Senate (statewide) HSSA = High School Statistical Area (11 county region) MetroWater15 = Atlanta Metropolitan Water District (15 counties merged to a single geographic unit) Regional Commissions (statewide) State of Georgia (single geographic unit) Superdistrict (ARC region) US Congress (statewide) UWGA13 = United Way of Greater Atlanta (13 counties merged to a single geographic unit) ZIP Code Tabulation Areas (statewide) Source: U.S. Census Bureau, Atlanta Regional CommissionDate: 2020Data License: Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC by 4.0)Link to the data manifest: https://opendata.atlantaregional.com/documents/GARC::data-manifest-for-arc-census-demographic-and-housing-characteristics-dhc-2020-release/aboutFor more information, visit the US Census DHC Technical Documentation webpage.

    Description

The 2010 Census Production Settings Demographic and Housing Characteristics (DHC) Approximate Monte Carlo (AMC) method seed Privacy Protected Microdata File (PPMF0) and PPMF replicates (PPMF1, PPMF2, ..., PPMF25) are a set of microdata files intended for use in estimating the magnitude of error(s) introduced by the 2020 Decennial Census Disclosure Avoidance System (DAS) into the Redistricting and DHC products. The PPMF0 was created by executing the 2020 DAS TopDown Algorithm (TDA) using the confidential 2010 Census Edited File (CEF) as the initial input; the replicates were then created by executing the 2020 DAS TDA repeatedly with the PPMF0 as its initial input. Inspired by analogy to the use of bootstrap methods in non-private contexts, U.S. Census Bureau (USCB) researchers explored whether simple calculations based on comparing each PPMFi to the PPMF0 could be used to reliably estimate the scale of errors introduced by the 2020 DAS, and generally found this approach worked well.

The PPMF0 and PPMFi files contained here are provided so that external researchers can estimate properties of DAS-introduced error without privileged access to internal USCB-curated data sets; further information on the estimation methodology can be found in Ashmead et. al 2024.

The 2010 DHC AMC seed PPMF0 and PPMF replicates have been cleared for public dissemination by the USCB Disclosure Review Board (CBDRB-FY24-DSEP-0002). The 2010 PPMF0 included in these files was produced using the same parameters and settings as were used to produce the 2010 Demonstration Data Product Suite (2023-04-03) PPMF, but represents an independent execution of the TopDown Algorithm. The PPMF0 and PPMF replicates contain all Person and Units attributes necessary to produce the Redistricting and DHC publications for both the United States and Puerto Rico, and include geographic detail down to the Census Block level. They do not include attributes specific to either the Detailed DHC-A or Detailed DHC-B products; in particular, data on Major Race (e.g., White Alone) is included, but data on Detailed Race (e.g., Cambodian) is not included in the PPMF0 and replicates.

The 2020 AMC replicate files for estimating confidence intervals for the official 2020 Census statistics are available.

    Description

This dataset contains data generated in the AI DHC project.

The IEA DHC Annex XIII project “Artificial Intelligence for Failure Detection and Forecasting of Heat Production and Heat demand in District Heating Networks” is developing Artificial Intelligence (AI) methods for forecasting heat demand and heat production and is evaluating algorithms for detecting faults which can be used by interested stakeholders (operators, suppliers of DHC components and manufacturers of control devices)

We are testing the Kaggle features before releasing the full dataset.

This dataset contains synthetic fault data for a heat pump connected to a district heating system.

    Description

    Context

A cryptocurrency, crypto-currency, or crypto is a collection of binary data which is designed to work as a medium of exchange. Individual coin ownership records are stored in a ledger, which is a computerized database using strong cryptography to secure transaction records, to control the creation of additional coins, and to verify the transfer of coin ownership. Cryptocurrencies are generally fiat currencies, as they are not backed by or convertible into a commodity. Some crypto schemes use validators to maintain the cryptocurrency. In a proof-of-stake model, owners put up their tokens as collateral. In return, they get authority over the token in proportion to the amount they stake. Generally, these token stakes get additional ownership in the token overtime via network fees, newly minted tokens, or other such reward mechanisms.

Cryptocurrency does not exist in physical form (like paper money) and is typically not issued by a central authority. Cryptocurrencies typically use decentralized control as opposed to a central bank digital currency (CBDC). When a cryptocurrency is minted or created prior to issuance or issued by a single issuer, it is generally considered centralized. When implemented with decentralized control, each cryptocurrency works through distributed ledger technology, typically a blockchain, that serves as a public financial transaction database

A cryptocurrency is a tradable digital asset or digital form of money, built on blockchain technology that only exists online. Cryptocurrencies use encryption to authenticate and protect transactions, hence their name. There are currently over a thousand different cryptocurrencies in the world, and many see them as the key to a fairer future economy.

Bitcoin, first released as open-source software in 2009, is the first decentralized cryptocurrency. Since the release of bitcoin, many other cryptocurrencies have been created.

    Description

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program assists very low-income families, the elderly, and the disabled in obtaining decent, safe, and sanitary housing in the private market.

Public Housing Authorities (PHAs) receive federal funds from HUD to administer the voucher program, and housing subsidies are paid to the landlord directly by the PHA on behalf of the participating family. The voucher recipient remains responsible for paying any difference that exists between the actual rent charged by the landlord and the amount subsidized by the program.

Voucher recipients are responsible for finding a suitable housing unit where the owner agrees to rent under the program. Because housing assistance is provided on behalf of the family or individual, participants are free to choose their own housing, including single-family homes, townhouses, and apartments provided that the chosen housing meets the requirements of the program, and is not limited to units located in subsidized housing projects. Qualified housing may also include the family's present residence. Furthermore, under certain circumstances, and if authorized by the PHA, a family may use its voucher to purchase a modest home. Please note that to restrict access to tenant information HCV locations are identified in public records by the owner, and not the tenant. Public data pertaining to the locations of HCV program participants are only available as U.S. Census Tract aggregations. Moreover, to protect the confidentiality of those receiving Housing Choice Voucher Program assistance, tracts containing 10 or fewer voucher holders have been omitted from this service. This dataset includes both tenant-based vouchers and project-based vouchers. HCV_PUBLIC_PCT are calculated using 2020 Census Demographic and Housing Characteristics File (DHC) table H4 Tenure Renter Occupied field. Description
