In 2023, it was estimated that over 161 million Americans were in some form of employment, while 3.64 percent of the total workforce was unemployed. The Uniform National Threshold Entered Employment Rate (UNTEER) is a national threshold Veterans’ Entered Employment Rate (VEER) for veterans and other eligible persons served by the Jobs for Veterans State Grants (JVSG) program and the Wagner-Peyser funded Employment Service.
