The gasoline price in the Philippines continued to fluctuate in 2023 and the first quarter of 2025, reaching 56.34 Philippine pesos per liter in April 2025. The retail price of petrol peaked between May and June 2022.   Which countries supply petroleum products to the Philippines? The refined petroleum products supply in the Philippines is mainly imported from South Korea, which accounts for 31 percent of the total import share. Singapore and China also provide a large share of the country’s petroleum product supply. Due to a dormant oil refining capacity, the production of petroleum refinery products in the Philippines has shown sluggish growth recently, further emphasizing the need for importing such products. Leading petroleum companies in the Philippines Shell Pilipinas Corporation held the highest share of the petroleum market in the Philippines, with a market share of about 16 percent in 2023. The company operated its petroleum refinery until 2020, when it decided to focus on imports. There is only one operating oil refinery in the country, which is run by the second-largest oil company – Petron Corporation.

Alaska's Division of Community and Regional Affairs (DCRA) first began surveying heating fuel and gasoline prices in Alaskan communities in 2005 to inform the administration and policymakers about actual energy costs across the state. The same 100 communities have been surveyed since the project's inception. The fuel survey is now consistently executed twice per year - in January and in July. The Alaska Fuel Price Report provides summary information about current fuel prices across Alaska, comparisons of historical fuel prices in the surveyed communities versus the national average, time lapse maps displaying longitudinal changes in regional fuel prices, and interactive maps that contain longitudinal fuel price data. Since the initial report in 2005, DCRA has conducted 27 surveys to obtain heating fuel and gasoline prices from 100 selected Alaskan communities.

About this dataset

Context

The dataset illustrates the median household income in Gas City, spanning the years from 2010 to 2023, with all figures adjusted to 2023 inflation-adjusted dollars. Based on the latest 2019-2023 5-Year Estimates from the American Community Survey, it displays how income varied over the last decade. The dataset can be utilized to gain insights into median household income trends and explore income variations.

Key observations:

From 2010 to 2023, the median household income for Gas City decreased by $172 (0.30%), as per the American Community Survey estimates. In comparison, median household income for the United States increased by $5,602 (7.68%) between 2010 and 2023.

Analyzing the trend in median household income between the years 2010 and 2023, spanning 13 annual cycles, we observed that median household income, when adjusted for 2023 inflation using the Consumer Price Index retroactive series (R-CPI-U-RS), experienced growth year by year for 4 years and declined for 9 years.
