Historical dataset of the daily level of the federal funds rate back to 1954. The fed funds rate is the interest rate at which depository institutions (banks and credit unions) lend reserve balances to other depository institutions overnight, on an uncollateralized basis. The Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meets eight times a year to determine the federal funds target rate.

The Agricultural Finance Databook is a compilation of various data on current developments in agricultural finance. Large portions of the data come from regular surveys conducted by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System or by Federal Reserve Banks. Other portions come from the quarterly Call Report data of commercial banks or from the reports of other financial institutions involved in agricultural lending. This data is no longer published by the Federal Reserve Board. On October 1, 2010, the E.15 statistical release transitioned from the Board of Governors to the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. You can now find the most current Agricultural Finance Databook at https://www.kansascityfed.org/research/indicatorsdata/agfinancedatabook.
We introduce a new dataset of real gross domestic product (GDP) growth and core personal consumption expenditures (PCE) inflation forecasts produced by the staff of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. In contrast to the eight Greenbook forecasts a year the staff produce for Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meetings, our dataset has roughly weekly forecasts. We use these data to study whether the staff forecasts efficiently. Prespecified regressions of forecast errors on forecast revisions show the staff's GDP forecasts exhibit time-varying inefficiency between FOMC meetings, and also show some evidence for inefficient inflation forecasts.
The Survey of Consumer Finances (SCF) is normally a triennial cross-sectional survey of U.S. families. The survey data include information on families balance sheets, pensions, income, and demographic characteristics. Information is also included from related surveys of pension providers and the earlier such surveys conducted by the Federal Reserve Board. No other study for the country collects comparable information. Data from the SCF are widely used, from analysis at the Federal Reserve and other branches of government to scholarly work at the major economic research centers. The survey has contained a panel element over two periods. Respondents to the 1983 survey were re-interviewed in 1986 and 1989. Respondents to the 2007 survey were re-interviewed in 2009.The study is sponsored by the Federal Reserve Board in cooperation with the Department of the Treasury. Since 1992, data have been collected by the National Opinion Research Center (NORC) at the University of Chicago.

Posted quarterly, using FDCCI Task Force data reported to OMB through the quarterly Integrated Data Collection (IDC) deadline. Federal Data Center Consolidation Initiative (FDCCI) Data Center Closures 2010-2015. Under the FDDCI, agencies have categorized their agency data center populations into two categories: core and non-core. The government is closing 40% of agency-identified, non-core data centers, while optimizing agency-identified core-data centers, according to a series of total cost of ownership metrics (see OMB M-13-09 and OMB M-14-08). This dataset reflects information only for agency-identified, non-core closures. All questions or inquiries should be directed to the specific agencies. The FY2010 through FY2015 dataset provides a list of planned or closed data centers by agency and by city/state location since the FDCCI started. Please note ?OTHER? is listed for data centers in cloud, co-located or managed service data centers, where square footage is unavailable. See related information about the FDCCI, including the definition of a data center and other FAQs at http://cio.gov/fdcci.

Financial industries are the most important users of derivatives. Thus, derivative accounting should be of economic significance to bank holding companies. Moreover, bank holding companies are required by law to provide detailed information on derivative holdings in a uniform format through regulatory filing (Quarterly FR-Y9C reports filed with the Federal Reserve Bank). The sample used in this study covers bank holding companies during the period from 2001 through 2005. The sample period is restricted up to 2005 because the key variable in this study that captures the hedging derivatives’ impact on income was only included in the FR-Y9C reports during this period. Bank holding companies in my sample must meet the following criteria: (1) quarterly financial statement data are available through COMPUSTAT, (2) stock return data are available through CRSP, and (3) the bank holding company filed FR-Y9C reports with the Federal Reserve Bank during the sample period, (4) This selection procedure yields a final sample of 168 unique bank holding companies

This paper considers the real-time-- forecast performance of the Federal Reserve staff, time-series models, and an estimated dynamic stochastic general equilibrium (DSGE) model-the Federal Reserve Board's Estimated, Dynamic, Optimization-based (Edo) model. We evaluate forecast performance using out-of-sample predictions from 1996 to 2004. We find that the Edo model can provide forecasts that are competitive with those of Federal Reserve staff. Taken together with the fact that the Edo model has also proved useful in answering a range of policy questions, this suggests a significant and broad role for richly specified DSGE models in the toolbox of central bank models.

Concept: Balance on goods accounts transactions on items that are result of productive activities. Goods are physical, produced items over which ownership rights can be established and whose economic ownership can be passed from one institutional unit to another by engaging in transactions. The Balance on goods is divided in exports and imports. The exports registers the selling of goods from residents to nonresidents and the imports registers the purchases of goods by residents from nonresidents. The trade balance is compiled by the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (MDIC) based on custom records of the Integrated Foreign Trade System (Siscomex), and are adjusted by the Central Bank with the goal of an ampler coverage. Information published by the MDIC are therefore incorporated to electric energy purchases that are not registered on Siscomex. Additionally, exports and imports are adjusted by the inclusion of operations in which the product is traded with a nonresident but doesn’t cross the border of the original country. Lastly, the trade balance incorporates international postal delivery registration.
