A map of York County compiled and published by the Map Specialty Co. in 1908. Map marks the locations of large cities as well as smaller villages and hamlets.In addition to roads, railways and even power lines are shown on this map. The print version of this map was originally drawn at a scale of 100 chains to 1 inch (a chain is a unit of measurement approximately equal to 20m). Different colours are used to differentiate between different municipalities.

Road segments within this layer represent centerlines of public and private (not gated) roadways. Road segments define left (_L) and right (_R) side attributes and address ranges along the segment. The road centerlines support address geocoding, analysis, routing and mapping.The centerline represents the geographic location on the roadway between both shoulders (physical center), which often, but not always coincides with the center painted line dividing bi-directional travel lanes. Roadway centerline data plays an important role in transportation management and planning, while also being the basis for all other roadway-related data products.This feature service is updated daily from its source ArcGIS Enterprise feature class. Source data within an Enterprise Geodatabase is accessed by County and City of Rock Hill staff through ArcGIS Server and Portal. When edited, business rules are enforced by BCS theAddresser software. County staff maintain the relationship between streets and the County Road Inventory through the RT_NUM field. The street ownership [ST_OWNER] designation serves as a source to determine the maintenance provider by municipal public works agencies who actively manage the road assets. SCDOT roadways can be confirmed by reviewing data within their lookup application or their source data within our One Map application.Railroads are contained within the streets feature class to enable cross street lookup (geodcoding), a requirement for e911 dispatchers.Street segments outside the county are present for cartographic and Public Safety dispatch of nearest vehicle (routing) purposes. These can be filtered out and removedAddressing data (streets and addresses) are used to update the US Census Bureau Tiger data in support of the decennial census. As of October 2022, the schema of these data are compatible with NG911. Previous schema remains as of January 2023 with intent to remove fields tentatively planned for 2024. Review the schema field mapping document (PDF) to gain a better understanding of field mapping used to transition these data to NG911 standards. Continuing NG911 compliance projects include splitting the centerline as they cross the city limit. The 2023 cartographic boundary KMLs are simplified representations of selected geographic areas from the U.S. Census Bureau's Master Address File / Topologically Integrated Geographic Encoding and Referencing (MAF/TIGER) Database (MTDB). These boundary files are specifically designed for small-scale thematic mapping. When possible, generalization is performed with the intent to maintain the hierarchical relationships among geographies and to maintain the alignment of geographies within a file set for a given year. Geographic areas may not align with the same areas from another year. Some geographies are available as nation-based files while others are available only as state-based files. County subdivisions are the primary divisions of counties and their equivalent entities for the reporting of Census Bureau data. They include legally-recognized minor civil divisions (MCDs) and statistical census county divisions (CCDs), and unorganized territories. In MCD states where no MCD exists or no MCD is defined, the Census Bureau creates statistical unorganized territories to complete coverage. The entire area of the United States, Puerto Rico, and the Island Areas are covered by county subdivisions. The generalized boundaries of legal MCDs are based on those as of January 1, 2023, as reported through the Census Bureau's Boundary and Annexation Survey (BAS). The generalized boundaries of all CCDs, delineated in 21 states, are based on those as reported as part of the Census Bureau's Participant Statistical Areas Program (PSAP) for the 2020 Census.

A map of York County compiled by Geo.R.Tremaine and published by Geo.C.Tremaine in 1860. Map contains information about lot owners and their occupations as well as road information and bodies of water. This map was drawn using data from actual surveys which makes it surprisingly accurate for its time period. There are also depictions of historically significant buildings laid out around the edges of the map. This group includes the following items: 1. Hampton Roads Elevation Certificate Building Footprints: includes only building footprints where final elevation certificates are available, with elevations reported in the vertical datum provided on the elevation certificate (NGVD 29 or NAVD 88). 2. Hampton Roads Elevation Certificate Parcels: includes only parcels where final elevation certificates are available, with elevations reported in the vertical datum provided on the elevation certificate (NGVD 29 or NAVD 88). Where necessary, conversions from NGVD 1929 to NAVD 1988 were completed using the VERTCON (NOAA NGS, 2019). Elevation certificates were collected from the following 12 localities: Chesapeake, Franklin, Gloucester County, Hampton, James City County, Newport News, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Southampton County, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, and York County. Localities included in the current inventory were able to provide digital elevation certificate copies. This inventory is not complete for the region, and elevation certificates will continue to be added to the database when available. The elevation certificate database was developed by HRPDC staff with support from the Center for Geospatial, Science, Education, and Analytics at Old Dominion University (ODU). We would like to acknowledge Manuel Solano (ODU) for his contributions to the Gloucester County and City of Norfolk elevation certificate data development.Building footprints are courtesy the VGIN statewide building footprints layer and locality GIS departments. For the 2010 Census, the MCDs are the primary governmental and/or administrative divisions of counties in 29 States and Puerto Rico; Tennessee changed from having CCDs for Census 2000 to having MCDs for the 2010 Census. In MCD States where no MCD exists or is not defined, the Census Bureau creates statistical unorganized territories to complete coverage. The entire area of the United States, Puerto Rico, and the Island Areas are covered by county subdivisions. The boundaries of most legal MCDs are as of January 1, 2015, as reported through the Census Bureau's Boundary and Annexation Survey (BAS). The boundaries of all CCDs, delineated in 20 states, are those as reported as part of the Census Bureau's Participant Statistical Areas Program (PSAP) for the 2010 Census.

Meeting minutes from January 9, 2023 where these boundaries were approved can be found here.Town staff has been working with the South Carolina Revenue and Fiscal Affairs office (SCRFA) to study and plan for the redistricting of the Town Council’s wards based upon the results of the 2020 Decennial Census. SCRFA first developed a Redistricting Benchmark Report, which staff presented to Council on March 14, 2022. The report outlines the current demographics of the existing Council ward geographies and discusses the path forward to developing a new ward map. After receiving input, staff reached back out to SCRFA to begin the process of developing a draft map for public review. The draft map is attached. The map was developed utilizing the following traditional redistricting principles:Wards will be drawn contiguously, so that all parts of the district or ward are connected to each other. Wards will be drawn to minimize the division of voting precincts. Wards will be geographically compact to the extent practicable, such that nearby areas of population are not bypassed for a more distant population. Wards will be drawn to comply with other applicable court decisions and federal and state laws. Wards will be drawn, when feasible, with respect to existing districts and communities of interests, which will require input from Council and the citizens.Wards will be drawn to give careful consideration to minority districts for compliance with Section 2 criteria of the Voting Rights Act Wards will be drawn to a deviation range of 5%The adoption process follows the normal ordinance adoption process, which requires two readings and one public hearing. The public hearing is tentatively set for Council’s first meeting in January.

Tile Download Link Ortho Imagery - As the prime contractor, Bradstreet Consultants, Inc. used the aerial photography flown in one session on April 23-26, 2007, by The Sanborn Map Compay, Inc. of Charlotte, NC who acquired approximately 4,000 photos @ a resolution of 0.5' pixel (similar to 1"=600') with airborne GPS using a Z/I Digital Mapping Aerial Camera. Bradstreet Consultants, Inc. painted and repainted ground targets for photo survey control points (~400) to support full analytical aerotriangulation. The aerotriangulation solution was used to set up each stereopair of photos for orthorectification and DTM compilation. The ortho imagery was rectified from the natural color digial imagery employing a digital terrain model (DTM) collected from the 2007 imagery and supplemented from updating some town's original DTM and some town's from scratch using the imagery in softcopy (digital) stereoplotter in the Kork KDMS and DAT/EM AutoCAD DWG format.

This Layer shows all streams in York County Pennsylvania. The connected network of streams and waterways of York County are indicated as single lines in this coverage. Waterways are given connected topology to show the direction of flow from the headwaters of the stream through the watershed to the extent of the coverage. With ARC Network data can be used for watershed modelling. This Layer was originated from a Layer from PA DEP. York County has made updates to it as the county staff saw fit. With most nobable update being the hidden field used if it was hidden from view in the 2008 PA Map Aerial. Other Aerials used was the 2003 PA Map Aerial and 2015 York County Orthophoto.

We are also including tabular version that’s slightly more comprehensive (would include anything that didn’t join to the parcel basefile due to lot alterations or resubdivisions since 2023 and/or due to parcels comprised of condos). There are approximately 200 records that don't join to the spatial parcel file and some additional that are null in the spatial parcel file, altogether around 560 total.
