A representation of the parcel boundaries (property boundaries) across York Region.
A map of York County compiled and published by the Map Specialty Co. in 1908. Map marks the locations of large cities as well as smaller villages and hamlets. In addition to roads, railways and even power lines are shown on this map. The print version of this map was originally drawn at a scale of 100 chains to 1 inch (a chain is a unit of measurement approximately equal to 20m). Different colours are used to differentiate between different municipalities.

We are also including tabular version that’s slightly more comprehensive (would include anything that didn’t join to the parcel basefile due to lot alterations or resubdivisions since 2023 and/or due to parcels comprised of condos). There are approximately 200 records that don't join to the spatial parcel file and some additional that are null in the spatial parcel file, altogether around 560 total. Publication Date: May 2025. Updated as needed. Current as of the Publication Date. The data can be downloaded here: https://gis.ny.gov/civil-boundaries#about-civil-boundaries. This feature service has polygon layers for the following boundary types: State, Counties, Cites, Towns, Cities and Towns combined, Villages, and Indian Territories. In addition, there are separate shoreline layers for the State layer and the County layer. Boundaries are at 1:24,000-scale positional accuracy except for the shoreline in State Shoreline and Counties Shoreline which is being adjusted to 1:24,000-scale positional accuracy as part of ongoing work. Boundary changes are made as needed and based on authoritative sources. See metadata for each layer for additional information. This map service is available to the public. The National Flood Hazard Layer (NFHL) is a geospatial database that contains current effective flood hazard data. FEMA provides the flood hazard data to support the National Flood Insurance Program. You can use the information to better understand your level of flood risk and type of flooding. The NFHL is made from effective flood maps and Letters of Map Change (LOMC) delivered to communities. NFHL digital data covers over 90 percent of the U.S. population. New and revised data is being added continuously. If you need information for areas not covered by the NFHL data, there may be other FEMA products which provide coverage for those areas. In the NFHL Viewer, you can use the address search or map navigation to locate an area of interest and the NFHL Print Tool to download and print a full Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) or FIRMette (a smaller, printable version of a FIRM) where modernized data exists. Technical GIS users can also utilize a series of dedicated GIS web services that allow the NFHL database to be incorporated into websites and GIS applications. For more information on available services, go to the NFHL GIS Services User Guide. You can also use the address search on the FEMA Flood Map Service Center (MSC) to view the NFHL data or download a FIRMette. Using the “Search All Products” on the MSC, you can download the NFHL data for a County or State in a GIS file format. This data can be used in most GIS applications to perform spatial analyses and for integration into custom maps and reports. To do so, you will need GIS or mapping software that can read data in shapefile format.FEMA also offers a download of a KMZ (keyhole markup file zipped) file, which overlays the data in Google Earth™. For more information on using the data in Google Earth™, please see Using the National Flood Hazard Layer Web Map Service (WMS) in Google Earth™.
This data is part of the series of maps that covers the whole of Australia at a scale of 1:250 000 (1cm on a map represents 2.5km on the ground) and comprises 513 maps. This is the largest scale at which published topographic maps cover the entire continent. Data is downloadable in various distribution formats.

This web service is a subset for New York State of the National Hydrography Dataset (NHD), there is more information about each layer in the description of the groups and specific layers. The NHD is a feature-based database that interconnects and uniquely identifies the stream segments or reaches that make up the nation's surface water drainage system. NHD data was originally developed at 1:100,000-scale and exists at that scale for the whole country. This high-resolution NHD, generally developed at 1:24,000/1:12,000 scale, adds detail to the original 1:100,000-scale NHD. Local resolution NHD is being developed where partners and data exist. The NHD contains reach codes for networked features, flow direction, names, and centerline representations for areal water bodies. Reaches are also defined on waterbodies and the approximate shorelines of the Great Lakes and the Atlantic Ocean. The NHD also incorporates the National Spatial Data Infrastructure framework criteria established by the Federal Geographic Data Committee. -- History of edits 02/18/2020 -- Waterbody Updates to Southern Long Island HUC (02030202) & Owego-Wappasening HUC (02050103) 10/04/2019 – Waterbody Updates to Upper Susquehanna HUC (02050101) 08/19/2019 – Waterbody Updates to Chenango HUC (02050102) & Northern Long Island HUC (02030201)Please contact NYS ITS Geospatial Services at nysgis@its.ny.gov if you have any questions.

A 6-in resolution 8-class land cover dataset derived from the 2017 Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) data capture. This dataset was developed as part of an updated urban tree canopy assessment and therefore represents a ''top-down" mapping perspective in which tree canopy overhanging features is assigned to the tree canopy class. The eight land cover classes mapped were: (1) Tree Canopy, (2) Grass\Shrubs, (3) Bare Soil, (4) Water, (5) Buildings, (6) Roads, (7) Other Impervious, and (8) Railroads. The primary sources used to derive this land cover layer were 2017 LiDAR (1-ft post spacing) and 2016 4-band orthoimagery (0.5-ft resolution). Object based image analysis was used to automate land-cover features using LiDAR point clouds and derivatives, orthoimagery, and vector GIS datasets -- City Boundary (2017, NYC DoITT) Buildings (2017, NYC DoITT) Hydrography (2014, NYC DoITT) LiDAR Hydro Breaklines (2017, NYC DoITT) Transportation Structures (2014, NYC DoITT) Roadbed (2014, NYC DoITT) Road Centerlines (2014, NYC DoITT) Railroads (2014, NYC DoITT) Green Roofs (date unknown, NYC Parks) Parking Lots (2014, NYC DoITT) Parks (2016, NYC Parks) Sidewalks (2014, NYC DoITT) Synthetic Turf (2018, NYC Parks) Wetlands (2014, NYC Parks) Shoreline (2014, NYC DoITT) Plazas (2014, NYC DoITT) Utility Poles (2014, ConEdison via NYCEM) Athletic Facilities (2017, NYC Parks)
For the purposes of classification, only vegetation > 8 ft were classed as Tree Canopy. Vegetation below 8 ft was classed as Grass/Shrub.

These GIS files represent geographic boundaries for lands that are under the protection of NYS Agricultural District Law, administered by the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets. The boundaries are derived from New York State Agricultural District, 1:24,000-scale, maps produced at county agencies. The district boundaries correspond to tax parcel data. District boundaries are joined into a file representing all of the Agricultural Districts within an entire county. Tax parcel detail is not included in this dataset. Road and utility rights-of-way are only included when they are delineated on the original 1:24,000 scale maps. Please note that boundaries may be generalizations; precise information can be obtained from the county or town tax parcel information.View Dataset on the Gateway
This Layer shows all streams in York County Pennsylvania. The connected network of streams and waterways of York County are indicated as single lines in this coverage. Waterways are given connected topology to show the direction of flow from the headwaters of the stream through the watershed to the extent of the coverage. With ARC Network data can be used for watershed modelling. This Layer was originated from a Layer from PA DEP. York County has made updates to it as the county staff saw fit. With most nobable update being the hidden field used if it was hidden from view in the 2008 PA Map Aerial. Other Aerials used was the 2003 PA Map Aerial and 2015 York County Orthophoto.
