Property parcel GIS map data consists of detailed information about individual land parcels, including their boundaries, ownership details, and geographic coordinates.

Property parcel data can be used to analyze and visualize land-related information for purposes such as real estate assessment, urban planning, or environmental management.

Available for viewing and sharing as a map in a Koordinates map viewer. This data is also available for export to DWG for CAD, PDF, KML, CSV, and GIS data formats, including Shapefile, MapInfo, and Geodatabase.

• Digital Alteration Book (DAB): The DAB is the official log of map changes—such as new lots, merges, or boundary shifts—providing a clear record of how the Tax Map evolves. It is available through the Property Information Portal. Coming soon the collection on Open Data will grow to include information from the Digital Alteration Book (DAB) that will keep track of historical changes to the Digital Tax Map.

U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) and Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS) scientists conducted field data collection efforts during June 11th - 16th, 2020, using a combination of remote sensing technologies to map riverbank and wetland topography and vegetation at five sites in the Chesapeake Bay Region of Virginia. The five sites are located along the James, Severn, and York Rivers. The work was initiated to evaluate the utility of different remote sensing technologies in mapping river bluff and wetland topography and vegetation for change detection and sediment transport modeling. The USGS team collected Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), total station, and ground based lidar (GBL) data while the VIMS team collected aerial imagery using an Unmanned Aerial System (UAS). This data release contains shapefiles of the processed GNSS and total station data, point clouds in the form of lidar data exchange (las) files from the ground lidar data and aerial imagery produced via Structure from Motion (SfM).

Publication Date: APR 2018. A vector polygon GIS file of all city and town boundaries in New York State. The file was originally a compilation of U.S. Geological Survey 1:100,000-scale digital vector files and NYS Department of Transportation 1:24,000-scale and 1:75,000-scale digital vector files. Boundaries were revised to 1:24,000-scale positional accuracy and selectively updated based on municipal boundary reviews, court decisions and NYS Department of State Local Law filings for annexations, dissolutions, and incorporations. Currently, boundary changes are made based on NYS Department of State Local Law filings (http://locallaws.dos.ny.gov/). Additional updates and corrections are made as needed in partnership with municipalities. This dataset displays the distribution of karst and potential karst and pseudokarst areas of the United States. These data were compiled to delineate the distribution of karst and potential karst and pseudokarst areas of the United States. The data in this report are preliminary, and there is an expectation of upgrade in content, quality, and resolution in future versions. The data are released as an Open-File Report to expedite transfer of this information to various users across the United States. These data were compiled from multiple sources at various spatial resolutions. They are intended for use as guidance in determining the distribution of areas of potential karst at national, State, and regional scales. Because of differences in projection and scale of the various geologic datasets, spatial errors and location inconsistencies are particularly noticeable along some State boundaries, particularly coastlines and riparian borders. These data should not be used to define boundaries for site-specific applications or for legal purposes. This report describes new digital maps delineating areas of the United States, including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, having karst or the potential for development of karst and pseudokarst. These maps show areas underlain by soluble rocks and also by volcanic rocks, sedimentary deposits, and permafrost that have potential for karst or pseudokarst development. All 50 States contain rocks with potential for karst development, and about 18 percent of their area is underlain by soluble rocks having karst or the potential for development of karst features. The areas of soluble rocks shown are based primarily on selection from State geologic maps of rock units containing significant amounts of carbonate or evaporite minerals. Areas underlain by soluble rocks are further classified by general climate setting, degree of induration, and degree of exposure. Areas having potential for volcanic pseudokarst are those underlain chiefly by basaltic-flow rocks no older than Miocene in age. Areas with potential for pseudokarst features in sedimentary rocks are in relatively unconsolidated rocks from which pseudokarst features, such as piping caves, have been reported. Areas having potential for development of thermokarst features, mapped exclusively in Alaska, contain permafrost in relatively thick surficial deposits containing ground ice. This data set provides the water quality classifications of New York State's lakes, rivers, streams and ponds, collectively referred to as water bodies. All water bodies in the state are provided a water quality classification based on existing, or expected best usage, of each water body or water body segment. Under New York State's Environmental Conservation Law (ECL), Title 5 of Article 15, certain waters of the state are protected on the basis of their classification. Streams and small water bodies located in the course of a stream that are designated as C (T) or higher (i.e., C (TS), B, or A) are collectively referred to as "protected streams.For more information see https://dec.ny.gov/environmental-protection/water/water-quality/standards-classifications1. The public should not make any business decisions and/or financial commitments based on the water quality classification data until they have secured the necessary permissions from the Department of Environmental Conservation. 2. This data represents the graphic portrayal of land parcels and their spatial relationships throughout York County, South Carolina. Land parcel boundaries are also the basis for and define coincident boundaries for other layers, such as zoning, subdivisions, public safety response (ORI -Police, Fire, EMS) and Jurisdiction.Boundaries are established from a variety of sources including cadastral plats, subdivision plats, deeds, land contracts, right-of-way plats, and others. Each feature represents a parcel of land that is inventoried by a unique identifier, referred to as a “Tax Map Id” number. This dataset also includes multi-unit structures which have separate tax accounts for each unit, such as condominium units, represented as stacked polygon features. The parent parcel number [ParentTaxID] for the land parcel is distinguished from the child parcel [TaxMapID] for the condo unit. This data does not include mobile home data. Attributes include data stored within the Esri Fabric data model combined with those from the CAMA data. This layer was initially developed as an ink-on-mylar property maps maintained by the County from the early 1970's through around 2001.In the 1990s, the county procured services to convert parcels from source documents, however the product delivered in 2000 used a methodology which lost fidelity of source documents. Since then, county staff adhered to this same methodology in their daily work. Between 2001 and 2015 staff used an Esri topology to maintain parcel data in ArcMap. In 2015 the county migrated to Parcel Fabric (ArcMap) and then in 2021 to Pro (2.6/10.8.1 Enterprise) Parcel Fabric. In May of 2021 the county began outsourcing maintenance of parcel edits. This has worked well and was initiated in part to ensure a higher standard of editing practice was adhered to, but also to fulfil a shortage of skilled staff in the job market. County parcel mapping staff remain responsible for simple transactions (merge, split), compilation of materials to create vendor edit request task, and QC or review of vendor work. In Q4 2021, County Staff performed a needs assessment to review alignment issues between parcels and other layers and the internal business requirements for data alignment to parcels. They determined boundary layers must remain coincident with parcels, which are used in decision making by citizens and across many areas of government. Also, it was determined that our parcels had many errors from 20 years of edits in a non-Fabric data model and the previous editing practices. The county will be remapping parcels using ARP grant funding in the 2023-2024 timeframe. Maine Statewide Orthoimagery Project 2018 for York, ME. All imagery was collected during the 2018 Spring flying season during leaf-off conditions for deciduous vegetation in the State of Maine. The sun angle was at 30-degrees or greater, and streams were within their normal banks. During the flight planning and acquisition, a significant effort was made to limit clouds, snow, fog, haze, smoke, or other ground obscuring conditions in the imagery. In no case does the maximum cloud cover exceed 5% per image. Within the immediate areas of power plants, factories, or controlled agricultural burns some steam or smoke and/or shadows may be visible on imagery. The Maine GeoLibrary Board has developed a statewide, 5-year, rotating orthoimagery acquisition program for Maine to facilitate state, regional and local government GIS base mapping in an efficient and cost effective program. The State of Maine will use digital orthoimagery for the development of various base map products in a computerized GIS that will support the needs of the state and multiple stakeholders through applications, such as, multi-jurisdictional homeland security mapping applications, state and county emergency management applications, regional and local planning, state and local public safety applications, economic development and other GIS business objectives.
