Seen the popularity of the YouTube platform among younger users and children, kids-themed YouTube channels are among the most popular types of content on the platform. As of March 2024, ChuChu TV Nursery Rhymes & Kids Songs was the most subscribed kids' content channel, with approximately 94.7 million subscribers. Spanish-language channel El Reino Infantil ranked second with approximately 67.5 million subscribers, while Masha and the Bear ranked third with 53.3 million subscribers. A study, conducted in 2020, analyzed the YouTubers in Sweden, by their influence and income. A so-called micro influencer would make minimum five thousand Swedish kronor per video, while a macro influencer would make between 15 thousand and 25 thousand that year. An icon influencer could make up to 300 thousand Swedish kronor.  YouTube activities Watching entertaining videos was what most Swedes used YouTube for in 2022. Other popular activities were watching educational videos, listening to music, watching documentaries, and subscribing to channels. The DJ and record producer Alan Olav Walker had the most subscribed YouTube channel in Norway as of January 2025, with around 46.3 million subscribers. His best-known single “Faded” received numerous awards in over ten countries. The second most followed was Soothing Relaxation, with 11.5 million subscribers. The beauty channel SaraBeautyCorner which focused on DIY, comedy, makeup and nail art, came in third, with 10.7 million subscribers. YouTube usage in Norway As of July 2024, YouTube presented a penetration rate of over 85 percent among Norway internet users, indicating that this social media has established itself as one of the most popular platforms for online video consumption in the country. Moreover, as of the end of 2023, 28 percent of YouTube users reported interacting with the popular social video platform daily, calling attention to the high level of engagement with YouTube. In May 2022, an online survey in the United States found that 86 percent of Black respondents reported having a YouTube account, while registered YouTube users among Hispanic respondents were 85 percent. In January 2025, the lifestyle channel CrashCourse had the most subscribers on the online video sharing platform YouTube in South Korea, with approximately 16.1 million subscribers. Following this channel, AsapSCIENCE had the second highest number of subscribers, with about 10.7 million.
